This is how the 25 year old outboard motor starts after 8 months of winter storage outdoors. No extra efforts were made, no battery charge, no storage oil in cylinders, also gasoline is the same as last summer.

@@user-or2xe6wc6r No, the max speed was 55 km/h so 29,7 knots or 34.2 mph.
Great way to ruin the machine that was to big.
@@Denvermorgan2000 Maybe, but the machine instruction manual says that 45 mm is the max. This was, so the spec is slighly exaggerating the actual capacity of the machine. 35 to 40 mm is in my opinion realistic.
@janneverajankorva yeah they do exaggerat and im sure they tested with the softest wood they could but I wouldn't keep trying if it stopped every time.

i have a quastion for this engine. It has warning buzzer ?? i have the same 40hp veto and when open the key , it not make check sound ! It is normal or fail buzzer?
Yes, it has a warning buzzer. First when you turn the key to on-position, it gives short beep. If the oil tank goes to very low, it buzzes loud and continuously.

why you start it like that??
For some reason this seem to start the engine faster than by longer starting attempts.
Mine has been running great since 1993. I did buy new plugs once.

Yes, if driven with full throttle, but normally I drive about 2/3 throttle (3500-4000 rpm), then the 25 litre tank last about 4-5 h.

Yeah depending on how wide it is I got a 1448 full decked out that holds a 35 no problem.

It is a first generation Buster M, 1997, an aluminium boat made in Finland.

I don't know for sure, it should be the original. There are no any kind of markings in the prop. In the manual it reads 11-3/4 x 12.

Hi! I tried to look, but there are no any kind of markings in the prop. So I don't know for sure. In the manual it reads 11-3/4 x 12. If I remember it correctly, the rpm would be something like 5000+ rpm.

@@janneverajankorvausing my tach rpm APP, the engine note is 5200rpm/48kmh and 5400rpm/51kmh.
@@HF1600ie Thank you! So your app listens the sound in the video and detects the rpm based on the frequency?
@@janneverajankorva Exactly. What i basically do is to sing the engine note into the app after listening to the vídeo and the app will provide 2x the real RPM (probably due to diferent number of cylinders). And then, i divide by 2 to get the result. The app is called "Giri".

Speed and rpm?
Something like 50+ km/h and 4900 rpm, if I remember it correctly.
@@janneverajankorva cheers, do u rember what pitch prop was on it, iv got the same motor and have just changed to a 13 pitch from a 12 pitch on my ally 14 foot boat. With the 12 pitch it was doing 55 kph at 5700 rpm
@@oscarjames7249 Cheers! I don't remember the pitch, but I can check it in a couple of weeks. Somehow 12 sounds familiar but I'm not sure.
I also have a 1997 2 stroke yam but mine is a 3 cyl.
This has also 3 cylinders :-)

Whic app did you use?
Camera is GoPro Hero 5 Black and the software is just the GoPro app for that camera.
