Any particular kind of paint on the outriggers?
@@mystreteacher I bought the cheap rhino liner type paint from Lowe’s and it has held up pretty well.
What are the adjustable swivel pieces that you have mounted to the side of the boat called and where did you get them? I want to make these for my boat.. very cool concept...
@@djmagicmixmistro3861 they are flag pole holders. I got them from Lowe’s. Probably $10 dollars each
Its not the same ting, you are running it without load of course it will run for a longer time, You have to actually run it on the boat with load to get Real duration of the battery
😃Thank you for reviewing our machine. We deeply appreciate it. Each of our outboard motors undergoes rigorous testing before leaving the factory. Regarding your suggestion about the manual, we have attached a quick start guide to make it more convenient for our customers to use. Your suggestion is very useful, and we would like to communicate with you. How may I contact you?
@@outboards thank you for reaching out. I am thoroughly enjoying this outboard. You can communicate with me using my email lameproductions777@gmail.com.

It would have been fine if not for all the coyotes or whatever
Good evening, what a splendid . 🤩
Don't fill from the top port on the gear oil. you must take out both plugs fill from bottom hole put the top plug back in then remove the bottle from the bottom hole and quickly re install the bottom plug! gear oil is too thick to allow air to escape when filled from the top and when it seems like it is full it is actually not due to air bubbles taking up space in the fluid. NO HATE JUST WANT TO SHARE INFO!
Thank you. That’s why I started the channel. I’m trying to learn and am willing to learn from my mistakes. So I appreciate the feedback.
@@lamefishing6716 i enjoy the content i maybe pulling the trigger on this motor because your review thanks for posting this and sharing info on it!
@@crowsgarage6669 no problem, and thanks for pointing that out. I’m just trying to figure all this stuff out and figured other people are too, so why not do it together.
I have taken the both plugs out on my outboard. Because the plugs are on the same site I fill when the motor is sideways on table. So I pour oil from the bottom hole and once I see the oil level on the top hole I know it is full. Then I turn the impeller few times to remove any air etc. I have 2 stroke motor and I use normal manual car gearbox oil 70-80w something. Haven't had any problems in 4 years.
I've read in articles how it would ruin the jumpstart I was a manager for a horrible slumlord so people leave stuff got mine for free.Back injury still no surgery sold my house for a less than it was worth, nobody would help me fix it so I went off the grid since they didn't give a ...I don't talk to anyone in my family including my 40 yr old children took care of my mom after my dad died.social security and selling stuff is my income I prayed about it
Ya since then I went ahead and just got another small battery to run it. I was just trying to think of ways for people who couldn’t lift as much still be able to have a battery.
I built your design and they are so awesome. Stabilized my tippy jon boat, can now stand up and move around without worrying about tipping over.
That’s awesome. I’m glad they worked out for you. Mine are a little shorter now that I broke them when the wind blew my boat into the dock, but they still get the job done
Did you fill the gear oil behind the prop ,,? People say they are dry from the factory...or is it still fine without Im getting one of these tomorrow Thanks mark uk
So when I first got it I didn’t know about adding the gear oil. I ran it a few times and no major damage but I would definitely recommend doing it. It not real difficult at all.
@@lamefishing6716 many thanks 👍 I'll do that ...mark UK
Hey guys hows it going okay im totally new to this but im trying okay so i have the 4 stroke also its the 144fv engine off ebay also but in my instructions its talking about oil mixture in the gas i thought a 4 stroke engine was gasoline only NO MIXTURE like i said the boat stuff is new to me the instructions of course aren't very helpful i know i need to put gear oil in the propeller housing not to sure what weight to use i can figure that out but i thought i was just going to put oil 10w30 amd then just put 91octane gasoline...... why is it telling me to add oil in the gas 🤷♂️🤷♂️ if some one can help me out thanks in advance it would be greatly appreciated
Ya that doesn’t make any sense. You shouldn’t need to mix the gas and oil. Maybe put in here a link to the one you bought. That may help. I looked on Amazon at what I think is yours but I don’t know. It says 4 stroke so that’s weird.
@@lamefishing6716 thanks lookin man greatly appreciated yeah I guess I'm thinking power sport machine logic 4 wheelers etc ...... I guess for this stuff it's different
Been looking at ways to add some stabilization to my 14’ tracker topper.. This may just be the quickest and most effective ideas I’ve seen yet! Thanks!
Do you have a follow-up video on this? It's been 3 months.
I’m working on it now. Had some towing issues and couldn’t take it out. Finally got that resolved. I should have it finished up this week.
@lamefishing6716 awesome sounds good I'll be watching it
@@scottd8555 ya I want to take it out again and get some better shots on the water then I’ll put out the video
Thanks for the video! I'm gonna go look for this one now -- I think I missed the price and where ya got it, but I'm pumped to see your long term review!
I got it on Amazon. They bumped the price up a little bit it’s $575 now, but the extra horsepower is worth it.
@@lamefishing6716 I agree! I can save up for a week and get something I'll be frustrated with for a few years, or wait 3 weeks and follow your advice. 🤜🤛
Ty brother! Doing some motor shopping for my mini pontoon, and this is a huge help!
Take a look at the Cukusin 7.5 HP. I made a video on it. I’m working on an update video right now. Running fantastic
@@lamefishing6716 thank you! I'll find your other video, and looking forward to the update!
They are a 2 hp. Based on the honda Gx 50.
Quick question sir, i just got this motor and realized there's no neutral or forward gear? However at the end of your video you started the motor and it was at idle...Does this motor need to be shut off every time I want to stop it? Or does it go into "neutral" if I lower the throttle all the way down?
No you don’t need to shut it off. On mine when you lower the throttle all the way down that is the neutral position. So ya just lower the throttle all the way down
@@lamefishing6716 thank you sir!
Genius Idea, Thanks for sharing.
I used to have one that I gave away when I moved. Pro tip: when the engine takes a dump, replace it with a Honda GX49, it'll last forever then. I just ordered another for my canoe.
How does it connect?
@@steveenczi8967 It's just 4 bolts holding the motor to the lower leg, hex bit, a bicycle tool works perfect.
@@homegrown_lonewolf sweet thanks I think I’m going with a evinrude outboard a lot of them On Facebook with power and rebuilt
from the bracket mout to the bottom of the prop how long is it? thank you
Looks to be about 18.5 inches.
So I've used this motor a lot lately. Looks like I get about 15 miles per gallon and it pushes my American 12 jon boat at about 7.5 mph
That’s good to hear. I’ve had some towing issues and I’m trying to work it out. So I haven’t had the motor on the water yet. I’m dying to get it out on the water. Sounds like I’m going to get the same experience in my 12 foot Jon boat
I wish they would stop calling these 4HP as this is a gross overstatement, even the Honda GXV50 which is superior is only 2.5HP.
Looking at this outboard as well, any updates on performance before I place my order?
Not yet, but someone in the comment section took it out with 12 ft. Jon boat and went well. I think they said 7.5 mph and preformed well.
@lamefishing6716 I was hoping for a little more speed, but it probably depends on the boat. I have a 14.1 foot Bris kaboat inflatable that weighs about 100 pounds.
@stevefeldman4996 ya that’s what I said but I might mess with the governor
Let me know how it goes. I'm the guy that commented earlier. I'm looking at an inflatable. My current boat pushes like a brick. It a sun dolphin American 12@@stevefeldman4996
I plan on doing a follow up. I put a hitch on my golf cart at the campground so I can launch the Jon boat. I’ll definitely make an update video soon.
I like the flag post idea someone's got but instead of the pvc im going to do 3/4" steel rods instead of pcv
Ya that’s a good idea, I was trying to watch the weight
Just an FYI - to fill lube oil in the lower unit... 1st, you remove the top screw and the bottom screw. Then you inject the lube "from the bottom screw hole" until it leaks from the top hole. While continuing to apply pressure from the bottom, you screw in the top screw (this creates a vacuum to hold the oil in the unit). Then you can remove the lube tube from the bottom and put that screw in place. Hope this helps someone...
Most definitely. I appreciate the feedback. All of this is new to me and I’m trying to learn and I appreciate it when people tell me the right way to do it. Thank you
He's correct on this... top hole is full level... pump in from bottom hole
Got mine out today. At low idle when the clutch is kicking in does yours sound like the gears are about to fly apart? Until you gas it good
I haven’t had it in the water yet. But mine seems to run smooth on the stand
You just nailed it son. Thank you
R u using it in fresh water or salt?
Freshwater, lakes and ponds.
I have seeing this amazing machine, live it's amazing!!
I literally just pulled the trigger on this and purchased it through Amazon. I'll be posting a video on my experience as well. Good luck, everyone. I'm excited.
Just bought this motor about 2 hrs before seeing this video. Thanks in advance for saving me time on the gear oil.
Not a problem. Just trying to help, after all that’s what TH-cam is for right ?
Got it today! And ...... The temperature dropped to the 20s😢 from 70 to 20s in 5 hrs
@Dmoormans5 ya that sucks, I still got a few weeks before I can go out. Was gonna try next week but doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen.
@@lamefishing6716 7.3 mph on a American 12 jon boat
@@Dmoormans5 good to know. How much weight in the boat ?
I have this motor. I have not used it yet. I live in Cleveland, Ohio, so I'm waiting on the weather to break as well, but it started right up can't wait to use it and compare notes
That would be great. It’s so frustrating because there are days where it’s 57 degrees and I wish my boat wasn’t in storage because I would go get it and fish. But maybe another month and we’re good
Hi great work i have a couple of questions if you don't mind i have a 1432 jon boat i think it's 350ibs people total of 500apx the thing is i need to carry 1000lbs total payload also i want my wife to fish with me and she is scared of the boat so i want to make it as stable as possible to ease her mind i love your work and your style can you give me an idea of what these floats add to the boat capacity it's very important to me and I greatly appreciate you sharing with me that's my story thanks again keep it up
So I googled what the weight capacity of your boat is. It says 580 pounds. I dont know that I would even try to come close to 1,000 pounds. The most I’ve had in my boat is around 550 pounds with my brother and I. It did fine but even with 4 of those stabilizers if you try to put your wife on there too I don’t think she will ever get on there again. What are you carrying that weighs 1,000 pounds ?
My boat is listed at 500lbs as well and myself + my fishing partner go over that by 200lbs as I'm about 250 and he is in the 400 range. Combine that with the 130lb kiddo and we still roll out without outrigger. Definitely thinking about these 😂. May make my trips safer!
They work great. They will definitely at least help with that
Just added these to my 12ft jon boat. Used adjustable aluminum walking cane for the main shaft. Thanks for the idea, made my boat SOOOO much more stable.
That’s great. Ya I ended up breaking mine in a little closer and doubled up with the float pods. I have two on either side of the deck and then two in the midsection now. The ones on the deck are only kept on with a tie down. Works great. Don’t want anymore holes in my boat.
Very nice idea
Can run a fridges, freezer, and natural gas forced air furnace in a ice storm situation 👍
Don't ever whistle at them, please. You'll end up on missing 411
You got too close to a Bigfoot, no joke.
Human in the woods=prey. Human in the woods at night=fast food. I wouldn't go into the woods these days with any amount of people for any reason. No thanks. I watch these cuz I'm in awe of people who will.
Na, I go out all the time and 95% of the time nothing but peace and quiet
Agree. Interesting but also scary! Let t hem do it! Careful. 😢😮😅😊
That's people. Trying to scare you out. 100%. P.s. I wouldn't touch those crosses etc. I typed this before the scream. The scream was a girl. Is it not plainly obvious?
I absolutely agree. The deeper parts of the swamps in this area are kinda known for cult activity. I believe that was people who were removed from a tent city near that area because I don’t think I was deep enough in the swamps for that to be the other.
GOOD STUFF.
I just wanna say I leave near shreve and have also has some horrifying experiences in shreve swamps, I duck and goose hunt there so I’ve spent plenty of time there. Non of the scary things have happened while hunting because it’s on the other side away from the dirt access road but strange things down that dirt road still give me chills to this day.
@lanefishing6716
Ya I there is one spot I won’t go. I can’t remember what road it’s on but you might. It’s where the sheriff shooting range is or used to be. I had a work friend that that lived out there and his animals (chickens, rabbits, etc. ) would come up missing all the time for what they were doing out there.
How do you know you've been stalked by something if you can't 15 minutes of fame or 15 minutes of shame I can't remember exactly what this is supposed be
I’m not sure if this a question, statement, or neither. If an animal kept following you for 3 miles. What would you call it? Never mind I’m sure you meant that as a put down but I appreciate the feedback either way.
I grew up there (Wooster) now living in east Central Florida coast, anyway in my younger days we hung out a the bridge usually with some of the local girls who were hoping for a scare from ole Leroy. And have spent a lot of time out in the woods there in the killbuck valley. Once again, there is definitely something big out there in the dark. Myself and two old buddies had a few encounters but it wasn’t skinwalkers, they were big,big suckers.
Actually I’m from Ft. MYERS. Crazy. Ya they actually tore down and rebuilt the bridge. I guess they were tired of all the stories and graffiti. I go out walking a lot and it’s mostly peaceful. Someone was saying in the comments that I’m looking for occult stuff. I don’t know. But I go at night because usually there is no one around and I can just walk and enjoy the night. And stay in shape. If there is something out here I want to catch it on video.
@@lamefishing6716 yeah no, don’t no what they mean by the occult stuff, but I think if the devils real and demons they’d probably have better things to do than walk around in the woods. And I’m from Indian Harbour Beach (Melbourne), later! P.s. left the occult person a reply! You’ll like it.
@@jimmyh.6233never mind I was wrong about old Leroy’s bridge. It’s still there they rebuilt a different one.
@@lamefishing6716 good to know, but just because they rebuilt the rickety old bridge doesn’t mean Leroy has moved on. It’s the place that’s haunted, it just means he has a new bridge to swing on to scare the crap outta teens! Have a good one and stay safe out there.
Question. Have you personally actually ever seen anything at Leroy’s bridge location that support the stories or do you think it’s the locals keeping the stories going ?
If you like to walk around in dark woods at night, I would wonder if you are not occultly burdened, it is not normal what you do there. Find a christian church, follow God.
But god told him to go there!
Im at church every Sunday. Some might find it strange to walk in the woods at night but ultimately what I would like to prove is that the Genesis 6 Nephilim and Bigfoot/cryptids/aliens are one in the same.
@@lamefishing6716 I respect your ( Sunday go meeting’s) efforts. But I’m in the camp that the others are separate entities. Reason you might ask? For one as a kid growing up I was a heavy church attendant even becoming one of the sought after alter boys. You had to know the “teachings” of the book pretty well. Anyway in my understanding of god’s words he NEVER claimed he only populated our world! Think about that for a moment, millions and millions of other planets and this is the only one he experimented with? I think not, terrible waste of real-estate me thinks. And I venture a guess they’d probably look quite different from us. I feel he’d want to find which ones work better, and luckily we survived the process. Just my thought process in this. As in the other’s in your group, animals are still being “discovered” every day in this vast world. Example a miniature deer in Asia not two years back. And five or six decades back villagers kept talking about a mythical ape that scientists said didn’t and could not exist, and behold the discovery of the silver back gorilla emerged! So you see I believe more than likely it’s possible for them to walk among us. Later.
@@lamefishing6716 If you know the bible, it is a sin to come into contact with these beings, we should stay away from evil, you don't have to prove it, we christians know that they exist by studying the bible. you don't have to go into the forest to do that.
I never go in the forest without guns and have people with me armed as well you dont know what or who you will meet
I’m armed for sure, but usually by myself. I did have this weird guy in Helltown creeping outside the barn when I was there. I had my go pro on but you could t see him. I was on my electric scooter so I was moving pretty fast and kinda surprised him. But no real issues with him. Just some weirdo
Wholly shit demon
Consider a good side arm for your safety ! Some cryptic researchers claim that a whistling sound in the forest my be a way to lure people to further investigate!
I always have my Glock with me but I don’t ever mention it because TH-cam doesn’t like guns.
Why lie about monsters all the time
Similar motor:I have a TK144FC. $ 275 all in from gomaxind in fort Lauderdale. No need for a trolling motor. If you want weight forward, pull off the hand grip. Round file the inside of the handle, then stick a Swiffer mop handle inside, so you can sit on the middle bench. I filed and shimmed the flywheel notch so the ignition was closer to top dead center. Installing lighter springs in the centrifugal clutch meant trolling at any speed. The motor is between 1/2 and 1/3 of the stated 4 horsepower. The good news is that's enough. 20W50 motor oil and 85W140 prop gear oil. On the Hangkai, it's prop off and box apart to add 3 teaspoons of gear oil. I don't leave gas in the tank, overnight.
Good to know. I would like the handle to be a little longer. Problem here is all the lakes are moving to electric only. And I can’t take this Jon boat on Lake Erie.
@@lamefishing6716 if you can get your weight in the middle bench, I'm thinking you can take rougher waves. A few jon boats have that high transom and lower sides, but your Luhrs and Grumman Marathon Dukes have higher sides and narrow centers=can take rougher water.
@stanleybest8833 ya that makes me pretty nervous. I’d still have to be extra careful to pay attention to the weather. We just joined a campground that allows it. My real problem is I want a bigger motor now. At the campground it’s a pretty big lake. So if I can find one on Facebook marketplace I’ll probably spring for it.
as far as i know its a copy of a honda 50cc engine that is rated at 2hp. or 1.8 continuous.
@@jstefa2 I'm lucky. I never had that thirst for speed in a boat. A big deep splashy noisy wake annoys me. I like it in trim and a gentle swirl behind the boat and not too much noise. I like sailboats, too. Extra weight? No.
