Pedals and gear demos and reviews.
The Fender Guitars Iceberg
In which I psychologically unravel slowly over the course of 100+ hours of research, recording, and editing. A sometimes-snarky overview and "rarity/obscurity ranking" of every Fender/Squier guitar ever made (or at least my attempts to find them all).
UPDATE: I screwed up a few of the title graphics during the "conversations." Just use your imagination for what the lady is yelling. :D

Sentient Sonic Machines: Greenseer Hypervintage Fuzz Demo

0:00 Heavy Bass 5:13 Lighter Bass 9:05 Guitar My first production pedal and boy is it a doozy. Based on the venerable, versatile, and infamous Maestro Brassmaster, the Greenseer has some great updates for the modern bassist/guitarist. From warm and wooly to snarling, clanking brutality, this really could be the only fuzz you need (although who would be crazy enough to do that?). Available for p...

Done with a cell phone through an 8” practice amp. This is the first one that both works and fits in the enclosure so I will be moving forward with a production run of these. The labels are swapped on the bottom row. Final colors and design will also be different. Love this fuzz!!

The carbon sleeve is conductive. You really need to strip that all the way off down to the sleeve / ground wire. Otherwise it is likely to short or have some continuity across ground and tip
Good to know im not the only one wanting a hardtail strat.
I've given up and I'm just going to start building my own. 😅
@@sentientsonicmachines I wanted a Warmoth body for that same reason. Yamaha doesn't make lefties for the Pacifica 611 vfm.
@@jakevizcarra4072 My friend and I just went in on a big workshop together for woodworking and building pedals so I'm looking forward to making my own bodies soon.
@sentientsonicmachines That sounds awesome! I wanted to build a pedal board too! There's a group called Westcoast Pedalboards who sells DIY kits. I just dont have the woodwork tools to attempt my own. (Or any pedals to speak of atm) i hope it turns out well for you!
@@jakevizcarra4072 gonna do boards too! We’re working on the CNC files this week.
You did your homework and then some. I miss my 81 Bullet. my first brand new Fender the one with the Bridge integrated with the metal pickguard memories! 🤭❤
This the content I want, algorithm
Thanks for the new shopping list! good job on the video!
Fantastic video. I learned a lot about something I previously assumed I knew a lot. Thank you.
Insane that I knew about the first 2 level 5s because of trogly 😭😭😭😭
no reference of the Tele plus v1? (1989-1995)
I can’t believe she knew the recent marauder triple bucker it was made in China but still a fender
Loved this, thanks for putting it together. You should do the same for amps! From the hot rod, deluxe reverb, to the vibrolux and the vaporizer
Great video! It's worth mentioning that the Coronado, Montego, Wildwood, LTD, and thinline Tele were all designed by Roger Rossmeisl, who also designed all the iconic Rickenbackers: the 325, 330, 340, 360, and 370. I suspect that's why Fender let him keep designing guitars for so long, even though they all failed commercially except the thinline T. He was also the mentor of Philip Kubicki, who comes up in this video for the Factor bass.
instead of the iceberg it should be the "real models/mental disorders" template
I appreciate the melvins riff
I love the Melvins.
Can you do a iceberg on fender acoustics, resonator, all there attempts at the acoustasonic, and nylon guitars
One you missed- the John Squire Jaguar. It’s like a J Bass meets Jag meets Strat. Idk how many prototypes were made.
black ice?
That is EVIL 🔥🔥🔥
Supersonic is from the 90s look it up
This video (which randomly popped up in my feed) was thoroughly well reaserched, direct to the point without any fat while also, somehow letting your personality and passion shine through! Chapeau, you have a new subscriber
30:14 Modern Players were made in China.
Great video!
Fender Lead is the greatest guitar ever made. It’s perfect in every way.
I’d love to see a stratocaster iceberg with all the weird variations and cool rare models. There’s a lot of fun/weird stuff that came out of the 80’s
Coronado lover here. I am curious if they will come up with a coronado again as I really loved the 2013 reissue model. I am curious about the pick ups they will use in the future if they will bring it back.
the Squidward bass 23:41
I can't prove it, but the Lead series was totally Fender's attempt to bully Peavey out of the guitar market. The phase switch gives it away, that was a classic feature on the T-series of guitars and basses from Peavey.
if it has 6 strings and sounds like a guitar i will play it
great vid!!! I was lucky to buy a new-old stock Venus for about $430 in 2023 and it's a lovely guitar, I hope you can find one!
Japanese lawsuit era guitars iceberg or Gibson iceberg would be cool as hell, love the video
I second the Japanese lawsuit era
Japanese lawsuit guitars is a cool one. I admittedly don't really have much interest in Gibson stuff. I'm working on a Fender amps one right now!
Is it just be it is that a Kubicki Factor bass in the thumbnail? Guess I'll have to find out, didn't think Kubicki had anything to do with Fender
It was absolutely mental watching this video and then suddenly seeing myself with a mustang in it 😂 You did a great job, well done.
I came for a conspiracy...where is it?!?
you get a thumbs up just for mentioning unwound and the et270.
I was waiting for the Tye Zamora signature! Great video tho!
Awesome video! What models would you like to see reissued? Also, Tina Weymouth plays a Fender Swinger in the Talking Heads' Stop Making Sense movie during This Must be The Place.
the performer bass is unironically one of my bucket list dream basses, truly a quirky model of the past 🗿
>not autistic enough to start with the telecaster
Great video but there is one bass that has to be mentioned. The 6 string bass for the bassist of alien ant farm. I couldn't believe it's a fender when I saw it.
I've got that on my "addendum" list!
I would not consider the bass VI to be that obscure. We've even seen the beatles playing one. But I will admit that my percepetion of its popularity may be skewd, because I'm an offset enthusiast. But I honestly would think a lot more people would know the name of the Bass VI than the starcaster for example.
Ngl I didnt pay attention to the first five seconds because I thought it was a Fender commercial.
Ive got a rare one for ya, A squier master series thinline tele. I'd say it was the precursor for the paranormal stuff and was released in the early to mid 2000s. Its semi hollow, has twin Seymour duncan humbuckers, gibsons scale length, rear routed, no pickguard, set in neck, hardtail bridge and cream binding... Feels les paul ish, but lighter and the neck profile is thinner. 95% of fender nerds dont even know they are a thing.
Good video, but the P over the J? C'mon lol
I may have recanted this stance after buying my J bass...
I'm still kicking myself for not getting a limited purple J Macis when it first came out. The guy selling it for beer money? Ugh! I wish I could find a deal like that!!
Same, I was a senior in high school and my parents made me save my money for college (I blew it there instead, of course!)
Let's make a great guitar and make less than 200! Phenomenal idea!
I'm baffled they haven't reissued it.
Do this for Gibsons and ESPs
What’s the link to the discord? I got a cool bass id love to get you’re input on

This is great! Thank for all the work you put into this. Please do more for other brands, too! There is a surprising lack of catalog content like this.
I'm planning a Reverend one next, although probably not in the iceberg format like this one. They have a pretty interesting history and are another one of my favorites.
Truly loved this video, had it playing while I grinded out some schoolwork, would love to see more of these from you
love this video, as a fender nerd (along with many others), the inclusion of all these models makes me feel seen
You missed the Fender (Heartfield) Talons
