After several season of running this equipment and putting it through Florida’s heat, we’ve learned how these units truly hold up to commercial work.

    Had mine for 2+ yrs now and I have cut some big branches. 10"+ and it eats thru like butter. Battery life is great. Ive cut hardwood, fruit trees and sappy pine. ive use other gas versions and I like this so much better. Im a small guy and I can weild this like its nothing. Keeping the chain lubed and sharp is the key. Having already invested in the Makita platform this was an easy investment to make. Ive paid for it several times over due to midwest storms over the last 2 years. People are shocked when I show up with it and they look down their noses at me. Then after Im done they eat their words and pay me extra for the show. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

    Been using one KMA 130r for three years (commercially), think I'm having the trigger issue, good to know what the problem might be. We use the backpack batteries (AR) because they have water protection. Never had an issue, even in heavy fall/winter rain. One thing I don't overly like using with the KMA 130r is the pole chainsaw, it kicks back a lot. It works well enough, just not as smooth for starting the cuts as gas.

    How does it compare to an ECHO PPT 2620 extending pole saw balance wise? The ECHO is 17.5 lbs dry, and the MAKITA is 18.1 lbs with both batteries, but the ECHO gets rather too heavy when extended.

    Great setup I havent come across a review on this yet. I'm trying to decide if I should go gas or electric. I purchased a stihl rma 510 mower and have a pair of ap 300 batteries. The mower is the only thing I use them for but now I'm in the market for a few new tools. I'm looking at the KM 131 R which is gas or the AP kombi KM 130 R you have..I'd like to get into landscaping and lawn maintenance commercially so I dont go cheap on tools. How have these units held up since you've had them. and does having the battery setup provide a good selling point for your business do your clients have a preference on whether you run battery powered equipment or gas?

    • @livingthegreenlife2737
      @livingthegreenlife2737 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brian Allen we now prefer to use the electric equipment over the gas. We ran gas equipment from 09-14 and made the switch in 2015 to go electric. The squid lighter, has plenty of power for any regular maintenance property commercial or residential. You can bring your chargers with you and charge them at your clients homes if need be. We service about 100 properties each week with all electric hand tools and they hold up. Stihl is by far the best product in the electric market right now that we’ve tried

      @@livingthegreenlife2737 Hi and thanks for the heads-up on the equipment. Can I ask if you get a days work out of the AR3000 battery pack, or do you have a different set up? Its not cheap is it! Just reviewed your video, I see you're using the AP300 batteries! Do you have multiple operatives and share them around?

    • @livingthegreenlife2737
      @livingthegreenlife2737 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tony Newnham the AR 3000 wasn’t our best choice when converting over from gas. It made more sense to have chargers and charge/swap out batteries through out the day. The AR3000 should give you a days worth of run time depending on how many hours you spend on your stick equipment each day. I would track how many hours you spend each day with your hand tools then compare it to the run time. We would of had to buy 2 of them so we stuck with the AP300 and it was half the cost
