It’s certainly possible this may be the route they go into.

I agree I think a wow 2 will be the move they make.

I've been playing since vanilla and have only come across a few toxic players, mostly in randoms.

Everyone has their own experience. I’ve met some really nice players and some toxic as well.

I don't think there's a lot of overlap between WoW subscribers and Game Pass subscribers. My pet theory is that Microsoft is holding the WoW subscription in reserve as a way to soften the blow of the next Game Pass price hike.

Hmm that’s a good observation. Xbox game pass has something similar to this with Valorant.

That’s good to hear. I have an Xbox myself but haven’t tried using keyboard on mouse on it. But yes how they handle addon support for console will be very important imo.

your 100% lying you use addons and they are 100% needed.

@hvdiv17 Not at all, My father used them I know for a better map and quest tracking but I never liked them. I preferred the way they game was without all that. Reminded me of Morrowind or Daggerfall. Didn't need them in raiding either since I was mainly dps or Tank, just learn the raids and how they work.

Absolutely, it would be a great opportunity for them to increase the player base even more. They just need to do it right.

People play WoW with a gamepad and a gamepad is 100% capable to using all the spells and abilities.

Also you can play using a mouse and keyboard on consoles.

@MugiwarasNakama ok so let's set up a controller, a Xbox controller has 4 main buttons 4 directional d pads two bumpers and two triggers , as a example a frost mage has 17+ abilities some are crowd control some are damage some are buff some are misc like mounts food professions pots either battle pots or buffing pots plus the new dual spec system that's been added still think a controller can do it all?

I use console port most of the time personally it works great but I would have to agree, they need a new version of wow that tailors the combat for both pc & console and also limit the amount of addons needed as console wont have all these addons readily to them on day 1 release.

I agree, I think they’ll have to make a new version of wow with both pc and consoles in mind. This version of wow will be difficult to port imo. It will be interesting what direction they will go into.

remove what? Modern consoles are pretty much pc's at this point. Also you can play using a mouse and keyboard on consoles. lol

When ff14 exists there is no reason to create a different version of wow for compatibility reasons. They just need to create it, there biggest issue will be pricing

All Xbox players need to do is get a keyboard and mouse, easy.

@@BlindingSun_ Having optional keyboard and mouse support is great, but all Xbox games are required to be fully playable with just a controller. Earlier this year Microsoft released ARA: History Untold as a PC exclusive because the developer didn't make the game with controller support.

I use the console port addon and it works great, I actually prefer playing with controller over mouse/keyboard. I’ve tried the controller support blizzard added not too long ago I believe last year and it’s ok but missing a lot features the console port addon has.

Blizzard already has a feature that allows controller use. But the controller port add-on is 100x better.

@@AGplays13 They will likely go the minecraft route and add plugin support if they ever port it to xbox.

Xbox can literally use any keyboard and mouse so they’d just go down that route ,

Ya I agree if they port to console with this version of wow it would be downgrade for console players I agree. You also make a great point about the amount of money they would lose if they merge wow accounts to game pass.

Adding WoW to Gamepass would add so much value to both. They entice a whole new audience that already has Gamepass to try out WoW that they were skeptical to try because of the subscription fee. They also entice current WoW players to upgrade to Gamepass because they would be getting more value out of other games as well as paying their WoW subscription. Also the possibility of bringing in non WoW players or gamepass subscribers to Gamepass just because of that added value. Then theres the potential of storefront sales for mounts and pets. Its a no brainer imo.

@@afilthylittlegoblingood points on attracting a new audience. Microsoft and blizzard can go in a lot of interesting directions. It will be exciting to see what direction they head into!

They simply put wow on x box with subscription but outside of game pass. A new category itself.

If they added GeForce now to Xbox as an app then I wouldn’t have to play wow through my browser on my series x, I get 120 fps and 1440p but still I’d like to get it on the Microsoft store. The game clearly runs on hardware older and weaker than what’s in the current series x so it wouldn’t be a downgrade considering we also have MnK support because I only play MnK on Xbox with halo and cod and stalker 2 and other games too like cp2077.

Wow already has controller support, it’s just MnK is better natively

xbox has mouse and keyboard support.

@@VarroxTergon they do but it’s not full controller support, you still need to navigate menus with mouse. I prefer using the console port addon.

@@AGplays13 you’re right but Microsoft also supports MnK in the “flagship” halo series day 1 and gears 5 and tactics, all of the age of empire games, Minecraft, stalker 2, and many other fps, RPGs, and strategy games

That’s a good question! I think it might to keep the player base from causing an imbalance from always switching factions.
