Wont her back legs gets numb being folded like that. Legs supposed to be straight and up. Just a thought, its great she is walking. If height is adjusted then legs can be stretched out with a flat base for standing like posture

Can dog pee and poo comfortable while having it?

I did this for a 120lb Chesapeake Bay retriever for 6 months boy oh boy was it a workout. He was only 8yrs old very healthy showed no signs of problems played ruff with my other boy every single day. Took them both for a swim got home opened the hatch to my jeep to let them out something they did pretty much daily. He hit the ground and you heard the snap he didn't even yelp but his back legs just dragged behind him and he was looking at them like what is going on here. I rushed him to the vet they said it was a defect in the vertebrae. He was rescued from a mill the day before he was going to be put down but still made me pay $1,500 even though they were going to just kill him in 12hrs. The vet said it was from the breeding of the dog and there would have been no way to know about it. When he jumped out of the Jeep his lower spine literally snapped. He wasn't in pain really at first and still had control of his bowels for the most part but he went down hill fast. Had to put him down 2 days before Christmas I would love to go on one of those arm burning walks again 😢

thank you for this. can a normal vet do a reduction and sling for my dog without anesthesia or will i have to see a specialist? my dog is 16 with a grade 5 heart murmur so they said anesthesia could have mild risk

Peanuts story dog This hasn’t helped at all. My 8 & 1/2 year old miniature poodle went from normal self to not walking at all and laying all day on her side in bed. She needs help for everything but can drink water and eat. I’ve switched her to organic soft food, and joint support treats as well as antibiotics, steroids, and valley fever meds after they failed to tell me she had slight signs of it. Until watching her get worse for a week to 2 weeks from walking to not at all. Idk what to do to help her she’s been on the meds about 2-3 weeks now and little to no improvement they said it could be a multi neurological disorder they don’t know have suggested a 4k spinal tap and MRI for further diagnoses. I don’t have these funds and see no improvement but she’s all there cognitively, her hind leg goes stiff and one she’s been curling up and can straighten the front ones don’t seem to support her, she’s slightly standing now but collapses if I let go. She’s had 4 chiropractor adjustments and nothing has helped. Please if anyone has seen this before and has any ideas to get life back in her please help. I feel terrible for her and she’s all there otherwise. Its hand and foot with her and I don’t know what to do. Help 🙏
