I was introduced to bluegrass 3 years ago and it's all I can listen to now. My friends don't get it but this is an example of why I love bluegrass. Songs written many years ago being covered by amazing musicians. You have earned a new fan

Us being based in Nashville have the opportunity to play with such amazing and talented players. Hearing how our music touches people makes the hours and time spent away from home worth it.
Same situation here they make fun of me for listening to it and they say i have lost my right to critique others music tastes.

Having picked this type of music and other genres my entire life, there are many musicians that can pick with the electricity on. Oh Bluegrass is alive & well, but its not Pop music. Lots of young people in country towns listen to & play it. They also play newer versions like Newgrass, Folkgrass, & California Grass - as well as Old Time music from the 1800s. There's even a black group, the Carolina Chocolate Drops, who play Minstrel music from the Civil War era.
