its a good game with potential, the movement is really good and the combat is decent, that being said I'm not sure what to think of it in the long term. I just really hope the devs keep improving the game, releasing new characters and making sure the balance of the game is good & hopefully it keeps going strong.

Yea that’s facts to be honest. As you said unless you enjoy finding bugs and working your way through the game it’s not that fun. Don’t get me wrong it’s not awful and it is playable & i guess you just need to constantly remind yourself it isn’t a full release which can be hard to do sometimes. Is the game releasing in alpha phase then moving to beta etc? I’d assume so?

Found this online anyway and we're currently in closed alpha stage: Closed Alpha Stage - Release Date and Information: Starting in May, the developers will initiate the Closed Alpha Stage of the release cycle. Tests will last from 36 to 72 hours and will be conducted approximately once per month. The content will be limited, but the aim is to gather important feedback from players regarding the direction of development. Just a warning tho remember it is an alpha as you can definitely tell & the servers can be a bit dodgy but otherwise it’s fun and just takes some getting used too. Yea that's a 100% better way to do it. Bed new players into the game by playing brawl. To be honest you kind of got to be in the mood for conquest game modes. How are they forcing Sony user to pay for Smite2? The games free to play on all platforms on release no? I get you gotta pay for the alpha assuming you wanted to play it and also assuming you wanted the other benefits the pack gives!

Lol, Rookie numbers 😉 To be honest I did the same thing with Smite, I have seasons of inactivity like I didn't play at all in Season 3 & then only played here and there in some of the other seasons but the newer seasons eg Season 7 onwards I re-found some love for the game lol. Honestly Predecessor is genuine a very good game. The map interactions are dope, the game play is very smooth & as you said it does like very good but, I do feel the exact same way about spending money, its a game that I definitely won't be spending any money on especially nothing in the sums that i've spent on Smite over the years. After Playing Smite 2 I'm alot more excited for that than I am predecessor doing updates to be honest and looking forward to how Smite 2 will evolve really. Yep its a Welsh accent lol, where abouts in Wales are you from?

I've heard others say the same about Smite 2; I'll probably get the basic founder's pack and join in the for the next alpha weekend. I'm in Cardiff, had a lot of friends dotted around south east Wales over the years. GLHF :)

@@robynrox Yea it genuine fun when we played the Alpha. I did find it quite tough adjusting though coming from Smite 1 as you get so used to the old building system like haha. Awh fair enough I'm from Swansea so not far haha

Thank you for saying you found it tough - if you're saying that as a grandmaster player then I'll feel fine finding it tough as a casual player! (I never played ranked or anything; I was too afraid - although to be fair I wasn't a terrible player but I kind of feel the pressure of needing to know everything before starting which I know is unrealistic.)

@@robynrox mumbles beach like haha & yea the smite 2 building system is like pred/league so takes some getting used to but to be fair it’s like anything once you understand it it’s fine. The new map is strange too but again it’s just a learning curve ain’t it to be honest. To be fair ranked isn’t a true reflection of skill really , a lot of players can just get to masters from playing a lot of the game, there are people who are better players who just never play ranked so it’s not a true reflection of skill

You’ve come to the right person I think my favourite god in duel if not smite is tsukuyomi lol, you have to play the match up like a mage tbh, don’t get me wrong he does struggle into a vamana especially in the mid game where vamana is tanky and also kills you and has a lot of chase down potential. The aim would be to out pressure him early when u got a full trans/soul eater online and never really get in melee range. you want to just constantly be poking with your 1 and 3 and if he gets in range 2 his knock up from the dash stun and get back to being at distance unless ofc you have a kill potential. Surviving his mid game dive is tough, you have to have a sprint and horrific. Build wise id go. Trans, soul eater, breastplate, hydras, brawlers/serated edge and heart seeker, can potentially swap out the hydras for a berserk shield/glad shield for more ports. Hope that makes sense.

Yea I thought that was the case, when u say from paragon did they just copy and paste it over or did they have to design the kits? I can’t really remember what they were like in paragon

@@Red39x some of the kit is different like Murdock has the mines,wraith kit is switched around and given new life with his ward doing more than having vision. Sparrow,drongo,rev,grim,twin all have the same kits. (Murdock was switched from having a grenade launcher to the mines and I don't remember what his other ability was. Wraith his ult was the invisibly which gave it to him and every allie around him now it's just only him and it's a regular ability that has bonus effects,his regular ability used to be rewind but it's his ult which is a way better change, ward adds bonus to his knock knock and attacking). A lot of characters in og pargon did have passives unless it took an ability slot so that also affects how characters are as well.

@@WShoup9818 awh fair enough, good to know that they actually took time to make certain characters better and feel a bit different as it would of just been the easy thing to do releasing all the OG characters exactly the same so thats cool. Hopefully they continue to listen to the community and keep improving!

I mean I can only play against the teams I’m given no? Not really my fault if the people aren’t like competitive players haha. I do get what you mean though that’s why try make the game as fun as I can and experiment a bit. I’m new to predecessor though so I’m learning every game I play as I’ve recorded every game I’ve played basically so it’s just a learning process, I’m as bad as the other “sub 1000” mmr players really. I do get what you mean though and appreciate the comment 👍🏼

Each to their own I guess mate, I deffo do prefer medieval style games for sure and more fantasy based games. Hence why I play smite & it’s what got me into it in the first place is the whole mythology part of the game etc. however I just feel that every adc I’ve played in pred have super similar feeling autos and ability’s which definitely cross over even if they do have slightly different effects. For example the Murdock mine, the twinblast slow grenade & drongos silence grenade.. I know they have different features and they have different effects etc but to me it just feels very similar. As I said in smite every ADC example has something pretty unique which separate them from each other apart from the fact they throw knives or shoot a bow or shoot a gun for example. That is part of it yea but there are other things too. As I said though it’s definitely peoples personal preference on that and either way doesn’t mean ones better than the other. Ps this is also from a ADC players perspective as I know the other roles characters are a bit more varied like countess who I think is dope or Fey who I guess is more “fantasy” but has a cool kit .

Yea I agree with that & sure I mentioned something similar in the video but my only criticism of pred is quite a few characters feel very “samey” where as in smite for example the characters still looked and felt very different at the same stage, the gods who were released in smite beta all felt very unique and different.(at least from my memory) as I said in the video though the gameplay is good and the other key elements of the game are which is the main thing really. Just hope Preds develops keep improving the game and good balance patches etc

Hmm I'm sure when the game released out of Beta it had 30. I may be wrong mind. I may have a bit of a skew view on it though as it was so long ago and then I'm so used to having a massive selection of Gods from playing Smite now with 130 gods. My main criticism is the fact that even though Predecessor does have maybe more gods than smite when it released. the characters just feel a bit samey to a certain extent. Where I feel smite's gods were very different. as i said i may have a bit of a suspect judgement on that though as it was so long ago.

That sucks, Can't you appeal the perma ban. I know some mates etc who were permabanned, appealed it and said sorry and their account was unbanned too have a second chance. May be worth a shot if you did want to give Smite2 a go & get the Legacy gems? Yea that's the same reason I've enjoyed pred to be honest. The map feels really good. How you can interact with it gives the opportunity for some cool plays. Hopefully with Pred when they do keep releasing characters they release characters that are interesting and have a good design otherwise pumping out characters just feel like a bit of a waste of time. that's my only real concern to be honest otherwise the game is very good.

Yea I do agree with that. It’s definitely tough to compare the two. Granted the characters predecessor has are mostly migrated from paragon aren’t they bar a few originals? That being said though I definitely agree with you that the most important thing is gameplay, balance, well made characters rather than just lots of mediocre ones etc. however, that’s kind of what I was eluding at with the characters I think I wouldn’t be as critical of the game not having many if they all felt super well done and different but some do feel a bit “samey” which is my only real criticism with predecessor. The game as an overall package is good though for sure and definitely has potential to be competing with smite in terms of what 3rd person MOBA to play.

I do get what you mean, from playing this the elevation and how big everything is in predecessor makes you feel like you’re interacting more with the map where as in smite it’s just a map with walls essentially I guess. However, it’s one of them things that once you look past it you can enjoy the good parts of the game. I had to do the same for predecessor, like how slow paced the game was early annoyed me when I first started but like once I accepted that I enjoy the game now lol

Sounds good! some big changes there which should refresh the game quite a bit! once ranked has been added people can start playing a bit more competitively and then a competitive scene can potentially launch etc so deffo moving in the right direction for growth! @@Red39x yes one more thing to add is that a competitive scene does exist. Most of the major tournaments in the game are hosted by the PCC (pred championship circuit) and happen every few months.

Its a weird one with characters. If they say they are releasing one every 6 weeks it may kinda feel a bit rushed? that being said it is nice to have the characters & keep the game fresh so its kind of a catch 22. That being said the paragon characters are already finished so atleast its just the case of releasing them. ty for info tho bro and appreciate the comment :)

@@Red39x The character assets they got from Paragon are just T-posed assets, no animations or abilities, all that is being redone from scratch. So they aren't exactly just ready to go, though I do think they've been working ahead and have several characters ready to release and are just spacing them out to keep it fresh

@@Husslehoff awwwh I see, I figured they would be ready made characters essentially. Does make sense though lets the developers make some tweaks to the characters too I guess. Yea I’d assume they would have several in the pipeline ready to go so the 6 week mark they can drop consistently I guess makes sense

I agree with some of that to be fair, I also should of probably made this channel back when I was playing more competitvely in season 2 but I always just put it off and never bothered so to be honest it is deffo my own fault. The mad thing is about the dislikes is that who even dislikes a video, period. I've never disliked a video in my life lmfao if i dont like the content i wont watch simple as that lol. People are very strange. Also there is a part of the smite community who are deffo just very salty for no reason, One thing I've noticed about Predecessor is how much more helpful and friendly the community is. Granted Im not top level on the game and havent played any ranked so its hard to judge but still lol

Right okay, thank you for the info mate, yea I did notice he was actually quite hard to last hit with and be as efficient as the other hunters due to the reloading and sometimes did feel kinda awkward, I get though that it was my first time playing him so I imagine some of the mechanics would come more natural the more I play him. I think I only went an attack speed heavy build because of the reload to be honest and my noob brain wanted to reload faster😂 thank you again for the tips though mate and the sound comment. A lot of people would just comment Bm stuff so appreciate it🙏🏼 also the predecessor community has been proper sick and helpful makes me wanna play the game more!
