What do you think about Cochranes Meta review guidelines? (considered by many to be gold standard). In an attempt to strive for excellence by adhering to one strict meta protocol, may you exclude trials or results done by authors who have not used a guideline for their study that would conform to the rigors of the chosen meta protocol by the meta reviewer. There are various guidelines for doing meta, and one study & its validity may fair better under one, but not the other.

Biasing a trial to produce a false negative result is very easy - for example, in a trial of an antiviral that works within the first 24 hours of symptom onset, trial organizers only need to avoid treating people within the first 24 hours; or with a disease like COVID-19, organizers only need to select a low-risk population where most people recover quickly without treatment.

Hi Gilad. Thanks for this great presentation. I would like to ask your opinion. Which one is more useful for the scale development process? Jamovi or JASP?

We focused on JAMOVI because of its ability to easily run R code snippets and export to R, with some great community responsiveness, and with some great extensions. But these extensions are both a blessing and a curse, as they sometimes break across versions, and depend on independent maintainers, with little testing. JASP is generally better tested, and more consistent and stable across the versions. If you don't care about R, perhaps JASP is the easier choice.

Thanks for the talk Adrien. I think it helpfully shows the process behind the curtain for an early career researcher.

The violin plots with various stats on them, the mediation, and the reliability in Jamovi were particularly helpful. Thanks, Gilad!
