You’re not wrong. This project was way back before I wised up and decided I didn’t want to die of lung cancer. 😆 I definitely wear one more often these days.

Sorry for the late response! I saved the pieces I cut out of it, then created sheets of fiberglass that were larger than the cut pieces. The larger sheets I put back behind the cut out holes(inside the hull) and fiberglasses them in. Then I put the cut pieces back in place and fiberglassed them in. I don’t know if that’s the professional way to do it, but it worked for me and I figure it’s pretty dang strong. Let me know if you have any other questions.

They didn’t last long. They were only manufactured for three years. Kind of funny how they flopped back then but are now very popular. 😄 a lot of people are calling for them to go back into production in some form.

I could probably put together a video on how to do the decals. Do you think it should include both creating them and installing them, or focus more on one or the other?

I agree! For me personally, it’s the funnest machine on the water! I have a project in the works to drop an 1100 into a blaster body. I’m really excited about!

@junkjunkie1744 yep and the 1100 makes it more nose heavy so it doesn't porpoise as bad and it's way faster then the 701. My is to do a zxi1100 or gp1200 in mine but I can find a donor ski that is in my price range that's worth a crap

Oh awesome! That’ll be fun! Hopefully it never got water in it while it was sitting. I would suggest weighing it before you tear into it. Maybe you can get away with not having to redo the foam.

@@junkjunkie1744 It's been inside a dry shed for 20 years, so who knows what it has going on. It's definitely going to need some work on the engine to replace dry rotted hoses, seals and such, but that's all we know right now.

Yes, much better! I was shocked how much water was in it. Probably 300 lbs worth. With an adult in the front, I think it would have just plowed the nose into the water.

They originally come with a 650cc but I put a 750 in it.

You’re absolutely right! The upholstery companies around here told me they were buried until the fall. I talked to 4 different companies. I just wanted to get the dang thing on the water. I’ll probably get it done during the off season.

Haha thanks! It sat in a field for years and just filled up with water in the engine compartment. The seal was broken between the hull and the engine compartment. Must have gotten in through there. I couldn’t believe how much water was in it! Last registration showed 2005.
