Sing, Sing, Sing Prima w/ULM Jazz ensemble
This clip is of me playing Benny Goodman’s rendition of the classic “Sing, Sing, Sing” with the fall 2020 ULM Jazz Ensemble. This version I play the “prima” before my colleague takes the second version of it. What’s notable about this however is that me and my colleague have a classic drum battle to segue into the second iteration of sing, sing, sing.

how does this not have more views
I like the 2 Ludwigs. The Yamaha marching snare is nice ...what is that on/of thing? The LP sounded nice also. Some snares would sound better with muffling. In studio recording and mixing mostly engineers don't like the ring of a snare drum. In post processing they do a lot eq cut to get rid of that ring so ...adding some muffling will be better if you do recordings and mixing with these drums.
@@HenkJanDrums the on/off for the marching snare is about the secondary snare mechanism that sits just below the top head inside the shell! It’s used for a more dry and snare wire focused sound. It’s really neat. And yeah the ringing wasn’t intentional, when I was tuning in preparation for this they sounded fine in person but I caught the ring in the mix lol. Thanks for the advice tho!
