Thank you, Drew. This was really cool. I’m really impressed actually on the pivot point on the Swingbridge how far it is across from the shoreline in Iowa. My avatar is the original Mississippi Queen riverboat a passenger laden paddle boat that I worked on about a year. We steamboated up and down the river and other tributaries that fed into the Mississippi River. I remember seeing this bridge as well as the lock at Keokuk

I have noticed that yellow blue freightbonnet @1:44 is former ATSF SD40-2 would awesome preserving & restoration it's new home at southern california railway museum from mount vernon illinois ex national railway equipment factory once home of rock island mount vernon yard.

I hope the former c&nw sd60 and up sdp45 get saved and preserved with all the other things coming here

A lot of those locomotives look like must have had a pretty poor paint job. Isn’t UP 3985 supposed to be sent here from Cheyenne for steam renovation?

I would have thought with all the intermodal traffic BNSF has they would have double-tracked that lift bridge by now.

I started my railroad career here in 1974 when it was still the Milwaukee Road.

How about the north end of the yard above 44th Ave and the diesel shoppe.

Now if we could just have that train head to Ukraine who are fighting our enemy.

Anyone who has spent any time around Northtown at all knows it’s a rare event when there isn’t stored power there!

About 10-15 years ago I tried to find a place to park so I could walk onto the road bridge over the yard and I could not find a place nearby that I thought would be safe from my vehicle getting towed. Plus I don’t know that neighborhood to the east that well.
