Marie was definitely the character I was drawn to the most. Such style. Love Alexander for the same reason.

I don't think Marie is OP, or at least not as much as people say. I think the AI is just not great at dealing with her. Not that that's much of a practical difference in SP but it's fun to watch PvP with a Marie fighting.

Since Laszlo is your favourite character (and mine as well), I would like to ask what your favourite moves with him are. I mostly use sidesteps and the long guard sidesteps, but I was wondering if it is maybe more effective to use for example headgames more often

It's great to see a game that doesn't treat two handed swords as clumsy and slow weapons.

I have to disagree with one or Zera's moves. The one when he puts himself off balance reaches far out to touch his opponent with the tip of his sword. That's a modern move to get a point. That sword, judging by the diamond of it, is meant to pierce armor. You would never do that in actual combat. Maybe in modern hema gyms, to get point and then the point is scored and it stops. Just like modern karate kicking with the top of the foot. Modern karate does that to get maximum reach to score a point.

I disagree I think the drunken monk is by far the weakest, in fact I would say he is the only one that’s noticeably worse than the others

I train with a solid oak bokken. which yes is modeled after a katana, but a lot of these movements are the same. I like to use backside curve to push my opponent's blade and move forward past their guard. which appears like what happened in the duel at 41 seconds.
