Before anyone purchases this. Don’t, it’s not worth 400 bucks. It’s a good gun, but too overpriced. If you really want a good less lethal weapon then look into other ones. HDR 50, HDP 50 (not the compact one), Salt Supply Less lethal. Etc.

What the heck is this for?

I love my Byrna. I lived in Oceanside and Carlsbad for 28 years before moving to Arizona last summer to take care of my wife's mother fulltime. The Byrna is a great LTL launcher for anyone needing some protection but not wanting to deal with the liability of a firearm. Is it the best on the market, depends on who you talk to, but one thing I can say from my own experience is that when it comes to LTL launchers, you get what you pay for and Byrnas have been the eaiest to use and the most reliable when it comes to working when it has to. Did you see ShotShow 2024 and the new LTL launchers and self defense devices coming out this year? Its gonna be a great year for these things 😋

There's a use case but charges are charges. This isn't going to be allowed to be used for anything but self defense. It still has permanent consequences if used wrongly.

Is the Byrna good for detering wild animals such a coyotes, bobcats, bears on trails in Big Bear or Mammoth, CA? Will the pepper rounds work on their eyes just as in humans?
