Earth Day 2021 Creek Walking for Artifacts
Beautiful video, stones are awesome as well, but you produced an exceptionally creative video.
@@southernfreediving9501 thank you so much we really appreciate the kind comment. We sure do love finding that material and it’s aways a treat when we do come across it. Thanks again for watching and God Bless!
It snows in November da 😅😅😅
@@lesjones5684 we rarely see it in November in our area.
Y’all com bac na here lol 😅hicks 😅😅
@@lesjones5684 thanks for watching!
East TN here, rock on rock man.
@@harleysmith7834 man thanks for watching and leaving a comment. East, TN is some beautiful country and we always enjoy visiting the mountains. Take care! 👍🏻
Ok you are on the Cumberland plateau. Try going west to the eastern highland rim. You should get into more chert gravel. I’d have to look into your area more. There is a book called roadside geology of Tennessee that would be a good resource for understanding your local area and alway talk with your locals. They will be able to point you in the right direction. Have fun and every area has something cool to offer. Thanks for watching!
Really enjoy the show videos since I can't get to one......thanks
@@closertohome-b7m thank you so much for leaving a comment and watching. We really appreciate it! KY Dam is one of our favorite shows and is always a blessing when we are able to attend. Take care and God Bless!
Do you know the best place at dale hollow lake to go looking?
@@heatherbelle7794 I’m sorry I do not but if you can find some people in your local area that enjoy rock hunting or hunting and fishing, you can get some great info. Talk with older people and ask about what they have found in their childhood years. They love talking with people. Good luck out there!
That chert is gorgeous!
@@JamesLovesRocks329 hey thanks for watching and leaving a comment. We really do enjoy finding that type of chert when we can. Take care and God Bless! 👍🏻
Fire poped.
@@bobbyblair1084 yes sir, we have found several fire popped points at this site. We appreciate the comment and for watching. Take care! 👍🏻
Hello, I live in middle Tennessee. A little town called Gainesboro. I love rock hunting. The problem is I can never find anything. Any suggestions on how i could become productive finding anything other than limestone.
How about 2023 or 2024 show?? Please........
@@closertohome-b7m I will try to upload the show for 2023. Unfortunately they didn’t have a show scheduled for this year. We really appreciate you watching and for the comment. 👍🏻
Great video
@@snakehandler87 thank you so much and we really appreciate you watching and for the comment. Take care! 👍🏻
Im sitting here watching this and honestly im jealous. I miss 😢my Dad so much and would do anything just to tell him i love him one more time much less go find some arrowheads together and he taught me to look and we found so many good KILLERS together! Enjoy your time together because when its gone its gone!
@@americanpatriot430 Thank you for leaving us a comment. What you said is so true. It’s amazing how many distractions we have in life and it’s easy to get complacent. The most important people in our lives are our family and the most important commodity is time. Thank you for reminding us of this. I hope the burden of loss gets easier with time. Thank you again.
Please ,Anyone suggest where in Clarksville Tennessee i can find great rocks!??
Please,Anyone suggest anywhere in Clarksville Tennessee i can go to find great rocks !??
Where can I look for these
@@jstclme The best way is to reach out to people around your local area and see if you can get some leads. Good luck and have fun!
What’s the location name I would like to find geodes
@@Themanwiththeplan890 we don’t give out our exact locations but I have heard people say creeks around Woodbury TN have good geodes. Good luck and have fun !
Thank you
@@Themanwiththeplan890 anytime! 👍🏻
What part of East Tennessee are you in?
@@earleencadwell8373 hey thanks for watching and leaving a comment. We are in Middle Tennessee. 👍🏻
@@TennesseeRocks which creeks do you suggest looking in. I have no idea where to look.
@@earleencadwell8373 We don’t give out our personal hunting locations but look for creeks with chert gravel bars and start their. Talk with local people around your area also. Good luck!
He’s got a flint th😊e Stone Age used them for cutting anything.
I’m not feeling happy, watching a chap cutting geodes , not the usual chap , I guess I preferred the first one as he did at least show you inside them when he’d cut the thing.
Thanks for the video. I live in Blount County, Tennessee and I find similar geodes to the white ones in my yard.
@@ProspectorAl sweet, we love finding geodes too. I do wish we found more that were Agatized. Either way it’s always a treat finding a good hollow one. Thanks again for watching and the comment my friend. Take care! 👍🏻
Y’all should try using a wire brush and a cordless drill to clean them up faster and easier. Take care!
In our future videos we are cutting out the cleaning part. We have found that saves a lot of time in the videos. We appreciate the comment and for watching. 👍🏻
@@TennesseeRocks I think the toothbrush is working just fine. 😂please don’t use wire and drill. Good stuff.
@@JoseyWales-ed don’t worry we won’t, lol. 😉Take care my friend! 👍🏻
Fun
@@theeldereffect hey we really do enjoy it. Thanks for leaving a comment and watching. God Bless!
WS that planted?
Dude i bet its been a while! finding one of these! I ain't STUPID!
Not to bad my Ass! That one was planted!
Ive got almost exact same rock as the first one. Im guessing you are close to Waynesboro for sure. Looks just like our creeks.
Yea not to far from ya brother! We try not to give out exact locations. I really like your area. One of my favorite creeks to float is Indian Creek. Really appreciate you leaving a comment and wish you a great rock hunt !
I am a rockhound since a young child. Moved from southeast Florida where there were no great rocks. I live in Middle TN. Are there any great prospecting places near me?
There are lots of creeks in middle Tennessee. If you stay close to the western highland rim and the eastern highland rim you will find more gravel bars. I recommend the (roadside geology of Tennessee book ) to get familiar with the type of rock layers that are exposed in your area. It’s a good book! As far as gold prospecting goes the closest place is in East Tennessee called Coker Creek. It’s in the Cherokee national forest. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Take care.
Do you guys ever hunt north middle Tennessee, I’ve been trying, but haven’t found much.
No not really but we know people that have good luck up that way and into Kentucky so don’t give up. Have fun out there! Thanks for dropping a comment my friend!
Hello from Claiborne County. Most of the rocks I find come from the Powell River here and I also hunt the Clinch River in Grainger County. Back in the 70s-90s I hunted Cocke County quite a bit.
Hey thanks for sharing we are in Middle Tennessee but love visiting the Cumberland Plateau and GSMNP. We were not around in the 70s but that was a great time to be a artifact hunter with all the plowing going on in the fields. Thanks for watching!
I think it matters what side of the rockies you live on. East or west
A.k.afoxnoears,
Unbelievable collection
It sure was a great show with some amazing collections! We appreciate you leaving a comment. God Bless and take care! 👍🏻
Awesome finds, from a fan Knox Co TN
Hey Jim thanks for watching and leaving a comment! We really do appreciate it. 👍🏻
Anyone near Gallatin?
Awesome! Using the microscope, they look like images of nebula, galaxies, space anomalies, stuff like that. Absolutely beautiful! I live in middle TN. Now I want to go hunting! Thanks I know this is an old video but really good stuff.
Well done! Love the editing and music!!! Love, Dee❤
We love finding this material in the creeks when we can Dee. There’s not a lot of it, but is always a treat when we do. 🙂
The boys are doing so good!! Love, Dee ❤
They sure do enjoy the creeks Dee. Heating up this summer, so we’re hoping we can upload some more creek videos. 🙂
some great rocks! Were you in Middle Tennessee or East?
Hey Tracy we appreciate the comment and for watching. We are in Middle Tennessee. 👍🏻
Where do u find that stuff at
Thanks for watching! Best way is use google maps and find a creek that has gravel bars. Talk with locals in your area and have fun. Thanks!
