Got mine brand new last week.. upon inspection before turning it ON.. the nuts of the 2 knobs are loose.. the metal cap of one of the tube is loose..

What was the final outcome of this? I have the same problem as described and real concerned I'll get an NTF if I send it in. What can I do to prove the problem? Did you try transmitting for a while?

Did you return, or did you repair and they gave you HUGE refund! Crap! I really want this specific 811H amp but the more research I do the more I'm second guessing a purchase!!! unacceptable Quality Control You gotta let us know what happened with this?

I do have this problem, the frequency of the sound on mine if different but the same type. The is steady in frequency and amplitude. Changing bands and playing with various controls on the radio has no effect at all. The sound is also present when using headphone or an external speaker. Unplugging all antennas and tuner also has no effect. If i turn off the radio for a few minutes, and turn it on again the sound is there but not as loud after a few minutes it gets a bit louder and stays there. Unfortunately, there is no repair facility near where i live and i'm trying to figure out if this is something i could repair myself.

this is usually caused by bad filters in the radio, a number of TS-2000 had filters that were known to fail, and then you end up with noise.

Sounds Good Man, Did you have to get it tuned after installation or is that not required with the K&N C.I.A?
