Trip along the Military Road. Isle of Wight. TT - Diamond Race course.
มุมมอง 1823 ปีที่แล้ว
The Military Road, a bit of history, paleontology, geology, tourism and a look at the TT Diamond Motorcycle race course. The TT is still under review, obviously Covid has put many sporting events on hold. For the technically minded this was shot on a Canon R6 and a 15-35mm lens with a Rode remote mic.

Another Canon R6 100-500mm lens unboxing video....... Too many of these on TH-cam but hey ho. Extraordinary camera and lens, I have used Canon since 1993 after I drowned all my Olympus OM-4s and lenses during a yacht race. Also features the excellent Fuji X100T

Quarr Abbey, Photographs, Isle of Wight, 1982.
มุมมอง 9984 ปีที่แล้ว
I visited Quarr Abbey on the Isle of Wight several times during 1982 to photograph the life, worship and work of the Monks. Sadly there only about five left there now. These pictures have never been published. For the technically minded I used Olympus OM-2s and 28mm f2 and 50mm f1.4 lenses with Kodak Tri-X Film often pushed to 800 ASA. I have produced a book of these photos. More photos at patr...

Thank you for sharing these beautiful portraits, brings back memories of 79, I had the privilege to know all the brethren and I remember my many walks with frère Placide !
I saw Mr Milburn, Mr Draper, Mr McFadyan and Mrs Jackson. I spotted Peter Jardine and I thought I caught a glimpse of myself, given away by the dreadful haircut given to me by my mum. Brilliant upload Paddy!
Brilliant
FUNTASTIC mate ! ! ! :)
Great memories and friends, miss the Prince's café a great place to hang out and was the only place open for cheap tea in winter.
Great track and great photos. I knew Billy Reid, late 50's early 60's when he lived in one of the cottages next to the Globe, he enjoyed serving behind the bar there.
I remember most of these monks.
