This is a fun song that I kept coming back to, until I finally recorded it. The Moog Sound Studio was in knob purgatory for at least a couple of months, so it tied me up from working on other songs with this rig in the meantime. Thanks! This can be achieved by clocking the seq1 clk or seq2 clk from the Subharmonicon to the adv clk on the DFAM.
FROM SEA TO CYBER SEA: I wanted to add that I love the sound but that equally important in my view, I love your presentation. Seeing something that soothes the eye 👁 while listening to this is truly to me the invitation, not only to listen but to sit down and stay a while, so I feel like I’m there, with the Salt Lamp and the reverberation from Sea to Cyber Sea!! 🫵🫵🫵🏆🔥🔥🔥

Trying to replicate the really cool glitchy sound you get on the DFAM by upping the FM amount but I am failing. Any advice?
Hmm. I can't quite recall what patch I was using, but I don't think I strayed too far from the Kick-bass & snare patch. It seems to make the glitchy FM effect more prominent.

There's a sound the Matriarch makes very easily. You can pull it out of the box, turn up all 4 VCO's and roll the filter off and it has a Matriarch sound - and there are countless YT and IG videos by the novice with the instrument making that ambient sound, which have become quite boring. THIS is not that video. This is excellent. I reluctantly clicked on it, and Im glad I did. Well done.
I wasn't aware that cranking all the VCOs was a thing or was even capable of achieving a desirable sound. Now you have me curious. 😄 Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the kind words!

Thanks! I used a touch of reverb with Valhalla Supermassive for the Grandmother. The other effect used is the Matriarch's built in delay.
@@aetherweavermusic Matriarch delay set to dark mode or normal mode? (it's one of those key sequence settings in the manual that we can never remember :). )
@@station2station544 I haven't tampered with many of the global options, and wasn't aware of this "dark" setting. You've enlightened me for a second time today. 😆
@@aetherweavermusic The output of the Stereo Delay can be set to either a Bright tone or a Dark tone. Use the lowest two white keys to select Dark (C0), or Bright (D0). The Default is Bright (D0). Page 63. Fun stuff!

Thanks! Arpeggios playing random notes from the keyboards are what’s generating the sounds. The rate out from the Matriarch is connected to the rate in of the Grandmother, which creates the warbling sound.

This is awesome dude, not many people showing off the sub cv with SS3. do you clock sync them often?? are you able to record into DAW fairly easily? Id like to know if the extra cash is worth it to get the sub cv instead of the standard 37. I'd like to have the dfam at the minimum clock sync without a hassle. Thanks!
Thanks man! Honestly, I don't use the CV functions that often on the Sub37. I like to run the Keystep Pro as the master clock since it has both CV and MIDI outputs. If you have a Subharmonicon, you can run one of the seq/clks to the DFAM adv/clk to get some interesting results.
