really useful, thanks for sharing
Do these new forms support conditional logic? Like some additional fields appearing based on an option I choose?
Not useful
Hi Jirabro, Can you please make a video about adding and integrating oauth 2.0 authentication to outgoing or incoming mail server too?
That's interesting topic. Will keep that in mind.
hmm not available anymore? I don't seem to be able to find this in Jira cloud apps
Sadly, no, it has been retired.
Really a helpful video for beginners like me.... Thank you 👍.
clear explanations for complex components. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
in Team managed Jira Projekt, can i select particular person to view an issue only when the issue is assigned to that person?
When you assign an issue to a person in a team managed project, they will be notified about this and they will view it. Users can view the issues based on the access levels which are open, limited and private, since team managed projects do not use permission schemes.
is it possible to make a field required during transition?...make a user field out a field during a transition using either a native Jira validator or post function or script runner? Thanks
You can make a screen which includes that field, make it required within field configuration, add it to the field configuration scheme and then add the screen to that workflow.
Wow! Didn't know about this app!
@@РустэмШириязданов Great alternative! It's really powerful for dashboards
@JiraBro thanks for showing the tool!
Thank you for all you are doing, your videos are invaluable. Can you make a video about connecting a project with a GitHub rep on the Jira cloud? Thank you
@@WorkAdmin-x7v Thanks! Yeah, I'll put that to my list. If you have more suggestions, please do write!
Thanks for those valuable insights about Jira releases and versions. I learned about the warnings displayed when some code remains unreviewed. Do you also get the impression that, in Atlassian terminology, "release" and "version" are considered the same? What I find most misleading is that the "Deployment" issue panel is labeled as "Releases."
@@Eckin0x No problem. To me, the only thing that separates these two are permissions used. For having versions, more specifically Fix versions being set up,you would need Resolve issues permission.
It's a pitty comparing to Notion.... Just click again on your button and you will see that a page "New page" with the same title will block the automation since it's not able to increment by default the name of an existing page like "New Page (1)".
From where we can enable this feature do jira have this feature for sprint planning and retro like timer and all
@@manusabjantahai6904 This feature is still in roll out phase. It is on the Active Sprint board.

Thank you, really grateful.
No worries, hope it helped!
Can you please make a video on confluence cloud site-to-site migration
@@WorkAdmin-x7v Good idea!
Jira Bro is the only where we can see things from scratch. Could please make video on jira DC installation and connecting to DB and same DC migrating to Cloud. Thanks
@@12345640748 Thanks! I'll see what I can do. Cheers bro!
Hi never heard of the product can you provide an URL is it working with the cloud version e.g. JIRA cloud?

No no no no no I’m watching shorts on the toilet at work so I don’t have to think about work…
Did you get the job done?
Hi can the forms only be shared via the share function and sharing a link? Meaning can those forms not be added to a JSM portal?
You can add your forms in JSM since they are already part of it.
@@JiraBro but you cant add the forms from Jira Software to the Portal of Jira SM? Forms in Jira SM are seperated. Or Iam wrong? Goal is to present the form to external customers within the portal but it should add the issue in the Software Project.
@@paneaipanema The forms are separated for software and service management project. When you share your software form, and when you get the response, it will create an issue in software project. Service management projects have portals while software projects do not, so they also do not technically work the same.
@@JiraBro But one more Question Bro. Where do you provide the Jira Software Forms for alle the colleagues when there is no portal? Confluence Page with all the links? Or what is the best way?
@paneaipanema When the form is created, you have the option to copy the link and share it with your team. If the scope of the visibility for the forms needs to be for whole organization then the form needs to be set to be Open.
Thanks for the video. Installing jira is ok. Culprit is installing Postgres db to your Mac with correct permissions (sometimes it forces to use you the homebrew) and define the Java home with a supported Java version
@@spidy1925 Exactly, Java 11 and 17 work as far as I know. I used the installer from their site.
Thanks bud, you're visual explainations really simplify Jira configuration
@@td7876 Glad to hear bro!
Is this feature only for cloud version?
This feature is actually part of Data Center originally. It was added to the cloud.
Hi @jirabro, thank you for sharing this. I have a typical use-case where I want to show some set of questions on a particular status only. For ex: When an external user opens the form, he should see status name (Open) with some intake questions. Once the user submits the form and try to access it again, it should show them that form is in Submitted status and questions are now not editable ie the form is in ReadyOnly mode. When an Admin moves the issue within Jira from Submitted to In-Progress, the external user can open the form again and should see new set of questions under status In-progress and user can edit the form now. When external user submits the ans on form under In-Progress, the form should move to In Review and is again not editable for external user as it is in ReadOnly mode. I know it is an unusual case but I am able to configure the above case in jira data center where I am using a Create Screen as a link in a new tab (my.jira.com/secure/CreateIssue.jspa?issuetype=1&pid=10000) And once the jira user hits on create button, I am setting the Edit Issue screen in ReadyOnly for jira user. We are planning to migrate from jira dc to cloud, so I am looking for such form feature in jira software which we can make the best of it instead of using create and edit screens I hope I tried my best to provide all details about my usecase Looking forward to hearing from you soon
Hi Jira Bro, Hope you are doing well. Could you please make a video about which Jira certification is best to pursue-ACP-100, ACP-120, Cloud, or Data Center? Also, can you share some tips on how to prepare for the exam? Thanks a lot!
@@pramodkumarreddyk5088 Hi! Currently I am pursing ACP-120. Both certifications are good. This depends on which environment you are working on. I'd suggest to go for the one you are currently working on. If you are on cloud for cloud.
@JiraBro Thanks for your reply. It's means a lot.
if you're currently managing DC, go for ACP-100. :) It is easier to study for this one as Atlassian offers a pdf booklet with sample questions with explainers. Highly recommend it, this allowed me to pass ACP-100 smoother.
These are actually tasks for creating an MVP rather than ideas for your product, you might as well use JIRA for that instead. But liked how you explored the possibilities, although not with the best example.
Thanks for letting me know!
Do you know how to adjust the label from "Form" to something more custom?
Can you provide an example that you need to accomplish?
@@JiraBro If we wanted to use the custom label to do some sort of post function or field setting behind the scenes based on which form was submitted. What if you have 2 forms for the same project, do they both have the same "Form" label? If so, how do you differentiate?
I actually figured out that it is giving a unique form-123 label. So I am good, other than the fact I am now using Advanced forms to use the conditional show/hide of fields and form fields can't trigger automation!
8:00 I think that it doesn't specifically mean 'Epics that contain labels', but rather 'Show epic labels' or 'hide epic labels' will just mean that the Epic names (if those Stories are linked to any Epics) will show or not show. Right?
Actually if we have A(Dev Team) as an custom field in source but that custom field A(Dev Team) is not available in Target B (destination server) , are will still able to clone or copy issue to destination?? please confirm
@@sharankumark-t1y You need to have that custom field on both screens of those projects.
Really helpful, thank you. (Again :))
Glad it was helpful!
Wish it was available for DC as well!
I like your video content, but a bit of editing is needed.... But as a Jira Admin you are definitely teaching quality and real useful stuff.
@@itsxob Thanks! For editing what are you referring to?
Really great content, especially for someone just starting out in Jira!
@@xaero212 Thanks!
How can I install Jira Software (Data Center) and Jira Service Management for use in the same instance?
You might want to check this documentation out: confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-install-jira-service-management-in-existing-jira-instance-849158594.html
Do you know if its possible to submit these forms if you do not have a Jira license, or is it only users?
@@juliemortensen6417 This only applies to users who have the Jira license.
This was my question as well. I don't understand the point of forms in Jira software if the user creating the ticket needs to be licensed. At that point, why not just use the normal create dialog? Sure the forms look nicer, but that's about it or am I missing something?
@@garyspross The whole point of forms is the information gathering across organizations.
@@JiraBro but the user would need to be licensed within that site (where the project resides), so they would be able to access the create dialog. The form is duplicative. If field changes occur, then updates would need to be made in multiple places now instead of one. I guess I see it as additional config work for not much (if any) gains.
Great explanation keep it up.
Great explanation
Thank you!
👀
Good job !
Thanks bro!
your reasoning and explaination of the benefit of Loom over Zoom still very unclear and make zero sense. You mentioned Loom is an async on demand video collab. What does this really mean? I feel Zoom can do the same as Loom, just that the extra step is to do the recording in Zoom, and upload to e.g. Sharepoint, Google Drive, e.g. to be shared. Where as Loom can be directly be done within Atlassian. That's because of a plugin. Most companies already have accounts related to Zoom, Teams, Sharepoint, Google, etc, so Loom will be just another added cost. I feel Loom is just another product wasting money which can be done by existing solutions out there.
I didn't understand. What did you get with that code?
@@zenitjnw The goal is to introduce the users with the possibilities of ScriptRunner.
sound sucks
Is there a way to automate goal updates, and it's metric based on projects or issues linked to to goal?
Not yet,no.
Jira bro i want to hide a release/fix version from the kanban board. Please help me
When the issue has been moved to Done column and has a fix version added to it, it automatically disappears from the board.
your content has so much potential! very good thumbnail But despite having many subscribers, your videos are not getting the views they deserve and the CTR seems to be a bit slow. You need proper SEO for your channel subscribers and views. I can help in this matter.
@@kamrunnaharmili11 Not sure how, because this is a specific niche that doesn't really attract lots of people across the globe.

Nice job bro
Looks like there is no one there
@@Festivejelly On day 3 there weren't lot of peope
Also, try Rovo agents with Jira automation. Like "when task is labeled 'test-cases' create several subtasks with test cases based on the issue summary and description", or "when issue is transitioned to 'in progress', create a pull request in bitbucket with a code proposal for the issue". Greetings from Atlassian! :)
Hey! I saw lots of possibilities with Rovo, it just needs to be explored :)
Try more questions related with content you have in Jira, Confluence or Bitbucket. Like "group my issues from the backlog into themes" or "create a confluence page with a table summarizing issues from sprint", etc.
Useful Info bro.
