The white/black notes dont change if its happy or sad, all notes can sound happy or sad. It’s all relative to the tonic. Emotion can also come from more than just harmony, like dynamics and rhythm can really add emotion to a song. Which can also be compared to life. In a song, some things might sound blissful while others sound sad concurrently. Like the palette of emotions we experience in life.
