The real issue here is colorism in our own communities. Another thing, especially in politics if you're of any miniority group; you have to be the most bold, the most racist towards your own to be accepted in a conservative/white society. To be "accepted" and associated with "whiteness" they have to act like this. I didn't understand it myself at first but it makes sense. Sellout to cashout so they can use you as their token.

My heart broke once I heard what that lady said, it’s understanding she wants to be there for her kids but she also has to look out for HERSELF. I truly hope that lady finds peace in her life. ❤️🙏My mom went through something like that with my dad after I was born, which was in 2005 so their a lot better now and obviously divorced but they both found their happiness and are very good parents to me and my siblings❤️ praying for that lady 🙏

It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I've sat with what you shared and need to share my thoughts. You are a strong powerful woman for forgiving your father but deep in my soul I believe that he (individuals like him) will never change. This man took advantage of his little girl for years. It wasn't just one time but went on for years until you were 12 years old. There's no repenting or changing from that man. Attempting to free him seems insensible.
