the very moment this scene hit i had to take a full minute. he was in HER world now. he had fully unravelled. what happens when you take everything away from a narcissist? What happens when you subject them to themselves? What happens when they have no one left to use? They're nothing.
I loved seeing everyone else slowly break into the real world and it’s really like that with narcissists they trick and entrain you into seeing what’s not there
@ it was seriously incredible, kevin’s actor gave an amazing performance and even tho i knew the show was leading up to this moment it still shocked me !
Season 1 was so much better than season 2. Mostly because of Kevin. In season 1 he was just a clown who didn't realize he was destroying his wife's sanity. In season 2 they changed him to being maliciously evil and it makes the whole show not work.
I think that’s the point though, season one you are being introduced to Kevin like everyone else sees him, with sprinkles of gaslighting, as we get to season 2 the filters becoming less and less, so we start seeing him how Allison sees him. He’s the same Kevin from start to finish.
@Camacamachameleon_ maybe, but I feel like the show works better if he's ambivalent, not malicious. It's hard for her to justify staying if he's just a dick all the time, but if he just isn't paying attention and accidentally messes up her life (like removing the stop sign that caused her car crash) it seems a lot more reasonable for her to stay
In season 1 we learned he squandered their life savings, was a lazy pos, and that he basically forced her into the liquor store job. I didn't really see much difference between the seasons besides his behavior starting to branch out onto everyone.
@@timothygalvin3021I think that’s the point. She’s trapped in this abusive relationship because she’s scared of what Kevin will do, but throughout the show we watch her get more and more confident until she’s able to break free from Kevin’s harmful grasp
I absolutely loved when he came into the other format, the lighting completely changed him. I kind of wish there had been a reckoning with all the characters, but the show was about Annie Murphy character, so I get it.
Alison said that the way to solve a problem is throwing it at Kevin and he would destroy it. So here she basically trowed Kevin to Kevin and, as expected, he got rid of it.
If we’re being honest here Allison was an actual psychopath. She got a man killed that she hired to kill her husband (was relieved when he died bc he was a witness), she knowingly pursued and cheated with her married boss with no regard to his wife, she implicated her best friend multiple times in to multiple crimes (had several chances to correct it and didn’t), they nearly killed that truck driver they bashed over the head and left for dead. Kevin throughout nearly the entire show isn’t shown as a real character. He’s portrayed as a sitcom caricature of a zany, narcissistic, inconsiderate douchebag. I felt like the last scene was a cop out because they basically allowed Allison to get away with all the chaos she had caused and then just made Kevin a stereotypical abuser which wasn’t consistent with the rest of the show. A better ending would have been Allison having to deal with the real consequences of her actions. And Kevin having to realize what a self centered lonely narcissist he is and having to live with that, or at least give him some sort of story line within the “real world”.
Kevin was a true piece of…. work, though. No, he never laid a hand on Allison. But he didn’t have to, because he kept her in line with the sitcom antics; which were real fun for him as they could be presented as harmless, but toxic when you were to take the time to look with a microscope. He didn’t start showing more obvious abusive traits until his perfect “me, me, me” bubble was popped by Allison in this very scene. It was perfectly showcased, really. Because when he was backed in a corner, especially when no one else was around, he dropped his “tv comedy” persona and made it clear that he thinks he really owns her. Allison is not perfect, nor is she innocent; BELIEVE ME, she annoyed me when some of the choices she made! But this was a fitting ending to Kevin, both the show and the character. Because from start to finish, he really was a cancer; and without his “cast” to bully, he was destined to destroy himself, in one way or another.
my question is; did kevin turn on a dime the second he had to face accountability and consequences or was he ALWAYS this maliciously abusive, but we only saw him through the filter that he saw himself through?
The fact this is the first time we hear him say "fuck" similar to when Neil first broke out, it leads me to believe we're watching the sitcom through a filter. Which makes me think he may be just as monstrous as Chuck.
I loved Duane man. It broke my heart when Morgan lost him. I live that they have us closure on what happened exactly and Actually went back to where it all started.
If it helps, don't imagine the Bible as a "true story" kind of deal. Use it as something to help you be a better person. Also finding a correctly translated version would help; there's been tons of copies that are mistranslated.
I still watch thiss
💃🏻 🙌🏽
The reocurring issue in this line of thinking that seems popular in movies is the omission of sin and the fall. God is good. We are not.
He didn't read the Christian Bible.

I feel bad for Lip but I’m glad he is doing ok
That's the jehova's witness interpretation... Not very optimistic...
Ty Simpkins/Thomas sounded like Noah Schnapp
Best Daryl line of the show. I know who he is and it don't matter
Eastman episode was so heartbreaking 😔
If you think about it, it’s kind of what the Bible is in a nutshell. Everything he said wasn’t wrong.

Bro exposed the system.
Iron man 3 young boy guy right?
Funny how people to say they've "read the Bible a couple times" then say a bunch things that contradict the Bible.
That's because the Bible is filled with contradictions, historical inaccuracies, scientific inaccuracies, exaggerations, etc
Did literally anyone in this comment section watch this movie 😂
Daryl is my favorite
I laughed harder at this than anything on the show.
NANCY NAZARIO EVELYN LABELLE
Don’t Mind Me, I’m just reading the Comments lol

Was gonna watch this movie but that intro was too gay lol pass
I like how his acting in the real world is way less sitcom adjacent
RIGHT? eric peterson did body comedy so well that when reality kevin showed up i genuinely saw a different character altogether. phenomenal casting

She wasn't anything like a psychopath don't just throw that word around lol she was scared and made bad decisions.
And he was literally described as a stereotypical abuser throughout the whole show. You need to watch again lol
@@micheteIn fact, he does have psychopathic tendencies.

Piper if her dad was evil
annie is so beautiful!,
This whole show Kevin has lived in his own bubble and now that bubble has finally popped
💔 💔💔💔❤️❤️❤️
she's so hot
If he were really that fat, he'd be breathing very heavy. You can't just be 500lbs and breathe like a 125lbs person.
Got Bert Kreicher's cool aid at the end there.
Lime wire groove tube lol 😂 and the Raven 🐦⬛ and Jason hell yeah
I thought he got a jar of mayo.
