I heard Voicians' remix of Yesterday and knew immediately that I wanted to make a mashup but it turned out to be 170bpm instead of the usual 174 - 175. Usually I wouldn't bother making a mashup in this case as even though the tunes might be in the same key, the pitch would be different and if I tried matching them, Mixxx creates this distorted sound (I think it's to do with latency etc etc). My girlfriend and I are living separately so we can heal before returning to each other, but weve made it a point to have a collaborative playlist. Her side is mostly stuff falling under nu-goth, industrial, doom metal and the like...I've made it a point to introduce great electronic music to the rotation. She never felt like she got to sit at "the cool kids table" so Ive added quite a few of your mashups that hold very sentimental places in my heart to introduce her to "that conversation."
