Historic Regensburg Germany | Danube River Cities of Germany #vikingcruises
Today we are visiting Regensburg Germany. This historic town is built on the site of settlements that were established around 90AD. The stone bridge that I filmed from was built between 1135 and 1146. This was a historic event to allow commerce to continue regardless of the river condition.
This was a very interesting town to visit and we enjoyed a sausage sandwich that was served from the oldest continually operated restaurant in the world or so they say. The sausage sandwich was very good.

Passau Germany | St Stephen’s Cathedral | Baroque Architecture #vikingcruises
มุมมอง 41วันที่ผ่านมา
Morning city walk of historic Passau Germany. In the 2nd century the area was settled in Bavaria. The town has played important parts in Germany history. St Stephen’s Cathedral was built in 1668 to 1693 in the Baroque style after the fire of 1662 destroyed much of the city including the previous church. The town is subject to flooding on a regular basis. This has become just part of living here...

Today we visited the Benedictine Abbey of Austria. The abbey was founded in 1089. Originally the monks were given a castle to live in. The first abbey was destroyed by fire in 1297. Construction on the current abbey was started in 1702 and finished in 1736. The abbey today is still occupied by monks. Unfortunately they have limited area where you can take pictures and videos. @OutdoorsWithRobert

AMAZING!
It’s a cool stop on the river.
That is a unique place
We had a sausage sandwich from a restaurant that has been serving since 1146. Yep 1146..
Things were built to last back in the olden days!. Great tour!.
It was an interesting location. It’s crazy that the bridge has been there that long.
Wow! 1,000 year old bridge.
Yep
I enjoyed the video of the impressive church. Thanks
Thanks. I appreciate having you along. Still about 9 stops to go. Already looking for the next adventure
Evening Robert
Evening. Hope you are doing well. We are receiving some of your weather this week. 20’s here by PHX. Just wanted you to know I’m sending it back.
@OutdoorsWithRobert it's ok, keep it 😆
@OpenAirAdventure well ok
We are really enjoying your trip videos! Thanks!
@@randyshake3439 Thanks. I appreciate you following along
Thanks for bringing us along on your holiday!. We really admire the architecture in Europe!.
There were many cool stops. The one a week ago with the windmills was I think my favorite
Vrry good ❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@Sinarglondong I am very happy with the splitter
Beautiful and very interesting.
It’s a neat place. Maybe not for many as you can guess it’s wind there much of the time. The mechanical side of the visit was very interesting
Beautiful!
It was one of my favorite things to see
It's just amazing how it all was built from stone and wood and still works today.
That is true. The center drive post is original about 300 years. The square drive post is 18” square and about 35’ tall. The gear teeth are held in place with a wedge and are replaceable. The upper area above the brick and stone where the horizontal drive shaft connects to the blades rotates to be able to bring the blades into the wind.
@OutdoorsWithRobert amazing. The sound of it must have been like nothing else.
Think about the family that cared for each windmill lived inside
Wow. You sure better be careful coming out of that door. Look left right left right right right !😊
Yeah for sure. There was a bunch of people talking and such. I would have enjoyed talking more about the windmills while there.
Love the windmills! Much better than the US variety
I agree to that.
Love the windmills and seeing the inside was fascinating!! I had no idea that all that was inside ? People man the windmills and work inside? Stay inside ? They are beautiful
The windmills were their home. They were given the place to live and in return they had to keep it running. They would normally have gardens and a small amount of livestock and would trade for other things. The “captains wheel” device that I showed when I exited the windmill was used to turn the upper part of the windmill to get it facing into the wind.
Hey fellas. Don't be shy John.
Yeah he’s a bit shy
Wow, that’s some heavy lifting. Thanks for sharing. No straps, just drive slow 😂, very slow.
Yeah. Didn’t have to go very far.
It was a great day in God’s Country
Definitely my happy place
Old 2.0 loves those big rounds. You got on a coat .. your brother has on shorts?
At least one of us has their head screwed on right. He wears shorts all winter….
It’s nice to have help at the office.
That’s right.
SUPERBE SUPERBE SUPERBE !!!
It’s a beautiful place.
Good morning 🎉🎉
I appreciate you following along. Have a great weekend
Sukses selalu 🎉🎉❤
It’s a great piece of equipment
Great times
For sure
Beautiful door and buildings!
There is so much to see.
Wow the history
Very Historic
Cool
Thanks
Love the fall colors and the ride up!
It was a great day for a ride!
What a cool giant clock with animations!
Prague was a neat place to visit.
Interesting city. Thanks for the video. I enjoy your narration
Thanks.
Beautiful old city! I like the pedestrian only areas to not have to watch for vehicles.
Yes, Budapest was a nice visit. I want to go back and see more of it.
Have a nice evening, Robert.
It was a fun visit
What a surprise. I didn't know you had another channel too. For me, it's a magic machine, in my childhood my father chopped wood with an axe.
Thanks for making the connection. I have split plenty with an axe or wedge and sledge hammer.
Great overview 😊 love the market too. I think every big European city seems to have a Ferris wheel 🎡 now? Cheers 🍻
The market was fun. Yet, the market in London was a better experience
Thanks for sharing. Beautiful city indeed! Have a Blessed Day Robert! Justin
Thanks for following along.
Nice tour of Buda and Pest.
That it correct. My traveling partner made to a great trip
hi there nice splitting . best to all /john
Thanks for watching. I think I have found you at Fabrats or Matt’s
Looks beautiful
The city is rich in beauty and history. I was surprised about how much of the city historical buildings are still being restored from damage incurred during WW2.
Nice views!
I agree
Some beautiful history
It was a fun trip that covered a good amount of territory. We crossed near your place in the middle of the night.
Good job 🎉❤
Thanks
Any idea the age of those buildings ?
The cathedral was started in 1388.
Wow. I would love to watch a video of them actually building those structures! Amazing work
It was a cool cathedral. Originally the cathedral was to be twice the size.
Tight
Was a tight spot. Better now.
The longest pee
Yep. Bet you didn’t see that coming
Great ending… the laugh, not necessarily the image.
Was a funny moment
Cool area.
The architecture of that building is amazing!
May Singapore and the USA grow together as close friends!!
Thanks for watching!
What model Wolf Ridge is that?
That is a 28 Pro Compact. The new model is a bit different.
@@OutdoorsWithRobert Ok, I watched a few of the other videos and I could see it. Thanks for the speedy response.
Always good to have help. Even better when it’s family!! Enjoyed it!
Thanks for watching. I’m blessed with three hard working children.
Great split session Robert and Christopher!! It’s not cheating having help from your son!! It’s way more enjoyable, and it’s working smarter not harder!😂 Thanks for the mentions Robert👊🏻
You bet. I hope your son’s first semester ends well. Enjoy Thanksgiving
Hey Robert and Christopher. I see you guys handle those big rounds also. Having a lig lift is some nice. Nice splitting session boys.
I should have recorded the biggest rounds that I processed. They were over 40”. It was the last of my logs. The lift handled it easier then me getting the rounds onto the lift.
