If she ever taps into her full magic potential she will become possessed either by darkness or by Fate which her father always tries to avoid by giving himself to Fate. Great potential but also terrible danger within her magic source (in that she is similar to Scarlet Witch, the kind of powers where you can't afford to lose control or make a mistake)

It’s truly criminally that this magical video doesn’t have more views and likes mate, it deserves way more.

Also I always thought, that the mermaids were a kind of devolved or lesser form of sirens thus their song becoming simpler and less powerful. Sirens song have "lyrics" in which the Sirens speak about the things the auditor desires the most (it’s very well explained in Percy Jackson book 2). Mermaids retain that attractive power in their song but without the mesmerising part, because instead of luring their preys with what they desire, they lure them with beauty. To me the the sirens song is much more clever than the mermaids song. The first is an irresistible invitation to your own personal paradise, the second is almost an order to jump into the water.

Interesting and also absolutely correct. Sirens and Mermaids are two completely different species and therefore it is logical that their songs have different effects. Like two species snakes have venom but it will not act in the same way.
