What number of clicks did you settle on?
I will need to check, thank you.
I am at 7 clicks, from left. So it seems like I have it at a softer setting on. I am guessing that came from the factory and when I drove it, it felt good so I left it there… may play around with it. Thanks!
Stock suspension?
Yes. I did add the autoLYNX sway bar disconnects which completely eliminates the hassle of disconnecting and reconnecting your sway-bar with a twist of a knob. It doesn’t affect right quality, but it does help when you are off roading and need the truck to articulate better for traction and ride comfort.
How does it drive? I had the 34sx12 baja boss and I love them, I wanna move to your set now.
They drive great in terms of less drifting in lanes (less steering input). I also have felt less tire spin in wet conditions. I have taken a bit of hit on gas mileage but not sure by how much since I have not made the program adjustments for the taller tires..even though they weigh the same as the Falkens I replaced.
This week @kpower8723: did you add the shims under the truck bed caps? Not sure why your comment is not showing up here… But the answer is yes however I was told that they are hard to put in and you may break a few… I had mine professionally installed, and they did not break any
I started on a landrover series 2, I like skinny tall tyres altho tires have employed since 1978
@@JohnSmith-tu9kv thanks…the empirical evidence that these provide more contact patch got me to buy them.
Tall skinny tires are the way to go, in mud anyway. I know from experience.
Good to hear! I will likely be testing them in sand first.
Thinner tires are way more useful
That is why I got them…it is what I believe based on the information presented. Looking to put them through their paces and report out my observations.
The salt water doesn’t do damage to your undercarriage parts?
It absolutely does if you don’t attend to it… I went straight to a car wash, and pressured sprayed the underside.
You look really relaxed out there!
Without moments like that, it would not be nearly as gratifying.
This is a nightmare I have had a few times but it resulted in a tsunami like wave. I’m glad you made it off the beach, it’s really cloudy out there!
It definitely caught my attention and I will do a better job watching the tides schedule. Sorry, the reply came late, had not seen it for whatever reason.
I also have been hearing remarks about flapping at highway speeds, is this true or false? Can you do highway speeds or is it best on local streets or roads?
I have had absolutely no issues with it at highway speeds. It’s a quality product.
I know it is easier to take the hard top off but is it necessary to remove the hard top? Can you install the screen with the top up?
No, its best to take the top off…. there are plenty of videos out there showing how it’s done, you just need a someone to help you.
Driver is colorblind 😂
LOL, why do you say that?
Wash the car with fresh water immediately ..
Thanks, I did! There is a new handheld car wash bay on the north side of Matagorda, that is excellent.
Where is Egret Island?
Texas, southeast of Houston. it’s about 20 mile island of just sand and sand mixed with gravel / shells. If you get to the end of the island, there’s a nice pay off.
Beautiful
For recreation itself, the beach is not all that great (relative to other beaches), but if you get to the end of the island, there’s a nice pay off.
wheels & tires alone are at least 3500 alone, the steps are around 1800. control arms are about 1800. that’s about 6k not counting the rest. i could definitely see close to 10k
Thanks for stopping by. I’ll have a video soon of what I have done to improve the mojave‘s offroad performance. If you’re going to spend a lot of money on the suspension, one should just buy a stock model, and build it up, rather than buy the Mojave or Rubicon, which are already upgraded…
Yall are ridiculous doing these videos so quick giving no time to look at actual install
Thanks for stopping by. Did you have a question?
How does It do in the wind and putting the roof back on?
I apologize for not seeing this earlier… The mesh top just stays on the vehicle and it does make it a more difficult to take the front panels off. However, I like the trade-off. Mine is blue, and I like the way it fits in with the interior of the truck and a did some refinement to the overall look rather than seeing either the blank panels or in my case I have the hot heads on it. It also seem to help with the heat That I would feel on the top of my head while the panels are still on it.
very detailed introduction
Glad you liked it, thanks for the feedback.
Dem knobs be gay homie
Thanks for stopping by! I have gotten several compliments on the blue accents that go with the truck’s color.

That’s awesome, slow down the small hill and straight into the lake to get stuck.
Yes, a few mistakes, did not have traction control off and was in 4L, couldn’t get the tires spinning to get them clear of mud…lesson learned
@@themojavedude9439 that’s the important part. If you stop learning that’s when its all over.
6 hp and 10 degrees of departure angle out of that I’m sure. And some rich Chinese folk.
Not quite tracking what you are stating…
I see no stairs
You are right! It is more of a ramp way to the sky… it didn’t show up as well on the post on TH-cam, but on my phone in the first half of the video, you see a ramp through the fog heading skyward.
Turn signals 9n the back of the car are not a thing?
It’s the Oracle side track lights I was highlighting. It does two things 1) because the truck has no signal on the side, drivers next to you may not know your intentions of switching lanes 2) when stopped, it adds light to the side of your truck so you can see puddles and it highlights the area in general for obstacle visibility.
Wow who the fuck cares
Do you lower your tires psi? If so what’s the best for running on sand ?
Yes and it also depends… lowering the time pressure is the best thing you can do when you go on that soft sand. Lowering the tire pressure just gives you greater contact area which provides more traction. However you should not drive on pavement with lower tire pressure! consequently, that leaves you with the decision of if you’re going to run on soft sand a lot you should probably invest in a hearty air compressor or always make sure there’s a gas station nearby so you can air up again. Once you get a little experience in your build you will know if you need to air down or not.
