Vince Carter has one of the most complicated legacies as far as iconic players for a given franchise. Incredibly popular and immensely talented, Vince Carter led the Raptors to their first playoff win and first few seasons with a positive record. Despite this, his legacy amongst the Toronto Raptors best players is decidedly mixed.
Part of that is due to how Vince Carter left the Toronto Raptors. Part of that is due to how bad the Vince Carter trade was at the time and in hindsight.

One of the worst trades in NBA history. While VC had tanked his value, there had been other trades on the table, including one involving Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Derek Anderson I think. It’s frustrating because our GM at the time insisted he made the best trade available which was just blatantly obviously not the case.

Summer league will be the most interesting in a long time. Your most note worthy comment is that the FO finally picked a direction. The last shoe to drop will be free-agency trades to clean up the Bruce Brown, GTJ and Boucher situations.

We were able to gain a lottery pick in ochai for a bottom of the draft 1st and expiring Otto and kira for Kelly so basically Kira's value is higher than ppl expect.
They need to recoup value on BB or Siakam trade will look bad. That determination is deferred until later. Jazz trade is a decent lottery ticket (in case ochai has some more improvement to go) but hopefully it doesn’t shift focus away from the long term need for a young big for the future. I do like the depth at SG now though; a contract year vet with young spacing vs defense options.
Nice coverage. I think the Kelly Olynyk vet presence that ties to Canadian players is something also to highlight. Can potentially be a great long term vet, our Haslem.

the issue is we have only 2 consistent scorer ~ Siakam and fvv. if any of these 2 have a bad game Raptors lose. as much as i like Barnes, Trent and OG they are inconsistent. Donavan Mitchell would have been nice. How about Zach
