      maria mori thanks. It is easy if messy. Mostly I just love trimming them. It’s therapy!

    Pull any one of those pom pom threads and I'm sure they will just come right out. Not secure with just one thread tying it all together. Sorry.

      Janice Al-Najjar true. But I made hundreds for a festival and they all lasted for a week and many are still going ok three years later. I wouldn’t recommend for on clothing with one thread for sure!

    This is sooooooooo much better than the flattened and taped toilet paper roll I've been using. I can get more yarn on my hand than the toilet paper roll. It's too bad tho that so much yarn is lost to the trim but it is worth it in the end with a nice thick round pom-pom. Thanks for sharing this with us xx

      Lavender Rainbow thank you! Yes you waste yarn, but it’s quick and satisfying trimming those pompoms. My dad wants me to glue all the cut offs into a new Pompom! 😂👍🏼

      that's why I don't make pom poms. too much waste. I'd rather shred junk mail than my pretty fibers......

    Martin Andersen, I searched TH-cam for easy pompom making! I found your video and immediately fell in love with Queen Babs - AKA Jane. I am so grateful you told us how she's feeling and where to find her. I *liked* her FB page and hope to buy her Ravelry patterns to keep her journey of life and crochet moving along!! Her most recent post with the Warrior Hearts was so real and touching! I just wanted to say thank you again for posting her info!!

    Hi there Martin and lovely lady, or should I say howdy! Do you knit or crochet? As a fellow Aussie I'd like to talk Aussie terms and shop names etc. Are you in Melbourne? Joanne :D

      Hi, we’re in Sydney. Jane crochets, she learnt off TH-cam, so tends to use US terms. Look for Queen Babs on FB or queen_babs on Instagram. She’s not so active atm because she is not well and having a break from it.

    The Vivid company put a video up of this and now it's gone "private". Did they get sensitive over how many people noticed they had omitted the Daleks?

    the disclamer in the begining ahahah, "some projections may be scary and contain monsters- don't worry the doctor will be fine"

    Thanks. I chose to do it handheld as my tripod is not tall enough to clear the crowd. I figured I could hold it reasonably steady for 10 minutes. I did film a later showing with it just to see how I'd go, but one lady got in the way somewhat.

    My fiancée really wanted to go, but was also sick and the cold and rain and crowds meant she chose to stay home, so I filmed this for both of us. I filmed a second screening with a tripod, but it is too low to clear the crowd, especially one annoying lady with an umbrella right in front of me.

  • @msandersen
    @msandersen 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes it rained all evening, but basically just a drizzle. Not enough to annoy others by putting up an umbrella, enough that I had to shield the lens with my hand for the duration. I was concerned my view would have been blocked by a sea of umbrellas if it had been heavier as has happened before; I chose not to go to the first screening as it would have been even more packed than this. I got there in time for the second, but I couldn't get close enough with a clear view. This is the third.
