Massive Harlequin Fish - SPJ Cape Willoughby South Australia

In this video I spend a successful morning Slow Pitch Jigging off Cape Willoughby and Cape St Albans exploring new ground while battling with a 15-20 knot North Westerly. Persistence was rewarded with some productive new ground found and a good feed taken home including my first Harlequin Fish. This is a fish I have wanted to come across since I started fishing these grounds over 5 years ago and landing what I have been told is a prime specimen was the highlight of the day. We were lucky enough to capture this amazing experience with a pod of feeding Humpback Whales on camera during a recent trip off Cape Jervis. This was a magic experience we did not expect as it was towards the end of the whale season with no reports of local whales for a while. Once more the waters of the Southern Ocean in S.A have blown us away. Thanks for watching, Enjoy.

It was great to get up the Murray River again, camping, fishing and relaxing.
