This does not, in fact, do the same amount of damage as M1ing your opponent mid-air. Not only do I KNOW from having played Ki BG Port Goku that the followup does 5%, you can SEE the damage occur in real time. A full M1 combo (downslam included) deals 14% - that's almost 10% more. And no, your opponent has MORE room for escape since it requires that they be falling instead of rising. That followup is only there as a failsafe to prevent weird interactions between air combos and players falling to the ground. IDK why you're looking for Goku tech anyway - his entire gimmick is having no utility in exchange for the most potent combo in the game.

7-1 has to be the greatest -1 level in Ultrakill like holy hell that was cinematic, the music was beautiful, the level designs were nothing ever faced in Ultrakill before, pale white labyrinth walls, a perfect introduction to the long and worth awaited Layer 7
