I needed to hear this! After going through a very tough breakup with someone who professed so much love to me and then simply walked away, it has left me hurting more than I think I ever have. Being in my early 50's, I was so hopeful that she was my forever person, and to be so blindsided really hurt bad. I know my attachment style (anxious) was likely a big player in her choice to go, but I'm also thankful and appreciative of everything about her… including the breakup. It has launched me (back) into my personal development journey; one I should have never gotten away from to begin with. I know the Universe has bigger plans for me and I am on a path of discovery now and opening myself up to receive the goodness and joy that the Universe has in-store. Thank you for this conversation… it has helped a ton. Cheers!

Getting to know and to hear dr. Wilson, is no less than a revelation for me. His generosity in sharing his personal story, his kindness, his emotional and intellectual depth are so rare amongst the majority of the banal and mediocre individuals who share this profession. Thank you so much for the more practical slant to this discussion - this was the most valuable podcast I've listened to in a long time. The theory is fascinating and there is so much content about that; but what I desperately need are some tools to help get off the couch and through the day, and just having some to use now has greatly increased by sense of safety! Much gratitude to Dr. Diana and Deb Dana!!

I grew up in rural poverty and squalor. In recent times I realised my left ear was blocked- old time glue ear. When it unblocked I found I had stereo hearing- Could pick up the nuance in other people's voices. It took me some time to get used to this! Then I went to a physiotherapist who helped me to breath- beginning with nose breathing- and ending with liberating the strength and plasticity of the diaphragm. This was a game changer. Must more relevant to me that therapy alone.

this is the first time that i hear this concept about nervous system and how it interacts with other people's nervous system. I am autistic, highly empathic and psychic by default and these explanations offered by Deb Dana make a lot of sense because i really have a hard time being in the world and feeling safe, while i sense everyone else's energies around me, including places, substances and objects. This is why i find my home sanctuary or nature to be so replenishing and i cant be with people who send disturbing frequencies. No one understands why when i explain it though. Thank you for sharing.
