For all facing leaving a trump relationship. Francis is a beautiful being.
Beautiful, thanks for sharing this 😅
Hmm very well said 😮😅
I needed to hear this! After going through a very tough breakup with someone who professed so much love to me and then simply walked away, it has left me hurting more than I think I ever have. Being in my early 50's, I was so hopeful that she was my forever person, and to be so blindsided really hurt bad. I know my attachment style (anxious) was likely a big player in her choice to go, but I'm also thankful and appreciative of everything about her… including the breakup. It has launched me (back) into my personal development journey; one I should have never gotten away from to begin with. I know the Universe has bigger plans for me and I am on a path of discovery now and opening myself up to receive the goodness and joy that the Universe has in-store. Thank you for this conversation… it has helped a ton. Cheers!
Privileged white women can't write!! How dare they even try!! I am offended!!
Thank you for the gift of your work. Love from Canada ❤🍁❤
Way to grow!

Getting to know and to hear dr. Wilson, is no less than a revelation for me. His generosity in sharing his personal story, his kindness, his emotional and intellectual depth are so rare amongst the majority of the banal and mediocre individuals who share this profession. However, Kelly you are wonderful. Thank you. I’m going to purchase your books so I can hang out with your wisdom as long as possible.
Wow, I really enjoyed the discussion! I have just started reading the “What Makes You Stronger” book and I wanted to hear one of the authors speak about it. Thank you both!
Superb conversation. You provided so much space to let the expression happen. Powerful and inspiring stories
Thank you very muck...the way out is in....
This video is GOLD, why did I not find this earlier? I'm a working mother of a 2 year old from India and all of it is so relatable and this video makes me feel seen :). Also explains why so many changes that happened along this journey for me, happened the way it did
Thank you so much for this! Learning more about the polyvagal theory has connected so many dots for struggles I have. This interview was so informative 🙏🏼
Thank you both!! +I truely, deeply enjoyed this sharing. Very inspiring, calming, encouraging :) Will search for more by Frances Weller.
Why is it always these really affluent, unathletic mysticism types that are always into polyvagal theory ?
Thank you so much for the more practical slant to this discussion - this was the most valuable podcast I've listened to in a long time. The theory is fascinating and there is so much content about that; but what I desperately need are some tools to help get off the couch and through the day, and just having some to use now has greatly increased by sense of safety! Much gratitude to Dr. Diana and Deb Dana!!
Thank you very much. Now I can see that I have burnout. The company that burned me out made me redundant. Actually I can see that they did me a favour. This helps me what to look for my next job.
Just wow! Such an inspirational exchange of ideas, stories, and wisdom. ❤ this. Tremendous story of hope.
Hi Dr. Hill I so much enjoyed the podcast you explain it so articulately and practical a breath of fresh air. You mention at the end of the podcast there will be practice. How can I get those?
I grew up in rural poverty and squalor. In recent times I realised my left ear was blocked- old time glue ear. When it unblocked I found I had stereo hearing- Could pick up the nuance in other people's voices. It took me some time to get used to this! Then I went to a physiotherapist who helped me to breath- beginning with nose breathing- and ending with liberating the strength and plasticity of the diaphragm. This was a game changer. Must more relevant to me that therapy alone.
The part about caregiving applies too to mothering/parenting - particularly for parents of young children or home educators who are with their children most of the times. 🙏
If the therapist sits on the floor…
this is the first time that i hear this concept about nervous system and how it interacts with other people's nervous system. I am autistic, highly empathic and psychic by default and these explanations offered by Deb Dana make a lot of sense because i really have a hard time being in the world and feeling safe, while i sense everyone else's energies around me, including places, substances and objects. This is why i find my home sanctuary or nature to be so replenishing and i cant be with people who send disturbing frequencies. No one understands why when i explain it though. Thank you for sharing.
You can learn techniques to shield yourself from other's energy field. It cones in handy when you're an empath 😊
@@neva.2764 thanks, but ive been learning a ton of energetic shielding techniques in the last 15 years, and none of them is working. Light bubbles, grounding tools, and so on, they are all worthless. I am autistic and i feel everything like i am one with all. all the time.
Thank you both for sharing your cues of safety❤
It seems like some people think they are being fierce, but are just being flat out rude and disrespectful in order to come off as strong. Someone who is strong only needs to show strength when there is something to stand up for.
The work of Thomas Hubl corresponds nicely
"Ventral" - open and airy, "dorsal" for me is "under water", all that is left seen when a fish dives. 😊
Thanks, thats is helpful 😊
It was great, it inspired me, thank you.
This is what I've done I am glad to know the corect terminology....all it is is shifting the perception of the experience to shift the feeling of the experience I teach this to people but didn't know what it was ....thank you.
I have studied PV Theory and read Deb Dana...this was just a wonderful and informative conversation putting it all together in real terms ...thank you so much ...everyone should watch this as it will give all of us a really good understanding of how our nervous system runs our lives ...
Hoping
Thank you
Kelly gives me hope! What a nice discussion. Thank you both.
Wonderful inspiring conversation, thanks. How much safer the world seems as ye explore the journey towards healing. 🦋🌱

Thank you both for a wonderful interview! Just one thing would it be possible to organise interviews so both people are on screen? It was very disconcerting having the screen flash from one to the other of you or literally stop,if one of other moved or said something whilst the other was on screen.
24 seconds in and already loving the vibe🙏 (And what a remarkably lovely room she's in 😍) - I already know I'll enjoy the rest. ...recently discovered some polyvagal exercises that were immediate game changers in my decades long struggle to optimize my self-regulation skills. Deb's books will be the next things I order from amazon for sure 👍
Do you have a link to the exercices please? Is it Sukie Baxter?
@@neva.2764 They were from the book by Stephen Porges, "Accessing the Healing Power of the Vagus Nerve"
This is great advice. I actually came across the Healthy Deviant through my employer mini workshop. It's ironic that this is promoted by my employer, yet there is no way they promote a break every 90 minutes or so. Corporate America wants you to take in these ideas but do not actually promote it, very sad.
Thanks for this inspiring and hopeful conversation! It gave me some new practical tools I will apply in my therapy practice. Thank you for both your openness! Warmly from Belgium

Lovely...as spending time with Kelly Wilson always is.❤
I loved this talk! Esther Perel describes a lot of the work of being human as the reconciliation of various paradoxes in our lives. So fascinating!
I find people often decide that they know I am safe and actually some how full of my name - Grace. It is dumbfounding often, but I am also grateful for the interactions as they remind me humbly, of our innate divinity.
I'm new to this group and just wanted to say that what you are doing is very helpful. You are opening a world for me that I never thought was available. Thank you for sharing your time. It is like brain yoga.
Thanks for sharing 👍
The yard/garage sale metaphor for attachment is wonderful.
Wilson needs to do more videos.
I wish he would!!!! His way of reaching into the deepest places that all humans encounter, and making the exploration of these places seem possible and brave is compelling and unique. Where do you want to go? Approaching through your values and vulnerabilities a fine way to explore that question.
