from my experience going to games the only two teams that will overtake stadiums with opposing passionate fans are the Braves and cubs.

So is this ranking seasons or predictions because Ohtani not being one again on this list too is quite sad imo. If we’re ranking seasons, judge had better offense plus playing defense. However, when Ohtani is pitching, who would you rather have. Sure, he’s not a Zack wheeler or Tarik Skubal on the mound, but an era at 3 is still good. Also 50/50 season. Idk if he’ll steal bags when he’s a pitcher but as a one of the best hitters and a at least good pitcher, that’s so valuable. Nonetheless, if we’re ranking 2024 season, judge was better than Ohtani. Also, idk how a pitcher makes top 10, top 15 even. My highest ranked pitcher was Skubal at 16

Bill James once wrote that no statistic in invulnerable to the laws of common sense. In the case of MLB expansion, the "common sense" is more like "sexiness" or "coolness". San Jose and Raleigh are NOT sexy picks, at all; also, the Giants would never allow a team in San Jose. Charlotte is a better choice than Raleigh (although Nashville is probably the best pick), and Salt Lake City will probably be the choice out west. (And what about Montreal? Well, actually, they'll get another team only if there's a billionaire backer and a new stadium...if not, not.)
