Never has there been a song I can relate completely to then this..I lost my dad in September 2018 and then my mom in February 2020. My family ripped apart and for the first time I am completely alone. This song says it all.

My Dad died in February 2020. I was struggling with that and my own new health problems and now this pandemic has came. At least I can't say the virus has messed my life up, since it already was. It occurs to me for Mom, my brother, me and even Dad are fortunate that he didn't die alone, we were all there with him. Ironically He is the person I would have wanted to talk to about this pandemic. He was an expert at making his sons feel better. Thank you for sharing such a personal, imperfect, unpolished song that I wouldn't want to hear any other way. Thank you very much. That takes guts.

I lost my Father at age 6 it was one of hardest things I have ever had to deal with at a young age and my mother was always there after that but lost her to Cancer in 2008 I used to blame my father for a lot of my mistakes I made In life and blamed my mother also, But I made those choices all me, but I really wish that they could of been here more to guide me better.. I lost my dad to cancer just over 8 years ago and I still miss him a lot. I still can't get used to not being able to call him up and talk with him. Not a country fan at all, but Whiskey Myers has a few beautiful songs.

I jus wanna say thanks for such a powerful song. It brings many memories back of me and my father who passed away in 1996 of a heart attack. I miss him very much. Cody's dad was friendly, caring, funny, loved his family and that is just a small portion of the man! I am proud to say I knew him! RIP Tator....we miss ya!

You will fall in love with them. If you lov their music and havent ever heard them live, you are missing out. The studio does them no justice. They sound great on CD but they are AWESOME Live!!!!!!! I know the family personally!! I know this song was written from deep inside his heart! In my eyes his dad was a good man. Its a shame that things turned out the way they did. His father was very proud of this band, and if he was still alive today he would be even prouder of them. If it wasnt for his father he may not be where he is today. His father could bend some strings to. I absolutely love this group and the Tate family. I could sit and listen to both albums over and over.
