Please tell us: Speaking as somebody who has lived around Paisley all my life, just who do you think is demanding it? Because as far as I'm concerned, if you can find that person they're welcome to it.... and while we shouldn't be catty, it is perhaps worth noting that all the positive comments from those below come from people who've actually left it.

Hard to believe when i was s teenager in the 80s Paisley was so Vibrant and bustling. Every shop unit in the High Street was relevant and busy. Last time i was there Empty shops everywhere, plenty of Foreign beggars though 🤷🤷

You walked right by my Wallace family home back in the 1800s on the Weir street/ Brick Lane corner where the Brick Lane-Mitchell music studio now stands. Back then, it was called South Croft Street. In the 1900s, after losing several relatives (teenagers) in the Great War (1914-1918) my Wallace and Mylett family left Paisley and emigrated to Kearney, New Jersey, hoping for a better life.

My dad was a Paisley Buddy. He'd have loved to see this. Great video.

Great video, I lived in Paisley for the first 21 years of my life but left 28 years ago. The one place I've never walked through was Saucelhill Park, so that was all new to me. The decline of the town since the late 1970s is so very evident as you can see so many neglected buildings and what the council did with pedestrianising the High Street and Gilmour Street hasn't done it any favours. I haven't been back for over 15 years, but every time I do drive back up I always get infuriated with more one way streets, streets closed to cars and that "20's plenty" signage everywhere. Having a 20mph limit on a dual carriageway like Canal Street is just plain stupid. Paisley has become a very unfriendly town for car drivers. I miss the fish suppers and deep fried pizzas from Castelvecchi's in New street.

Its a horrible place to live and work. I cannot wait to leave.

Sorry but 25:40 sadly wasn't shortroods it was more in the kibble end its a pity you didn't go into the middle of shortroods as its all new house's.... gone are the old tenement's people from way back would hardly know it now I for one miss the tenement's as you saw your neighbours but own doors now u hardly see a soul, But many thanks for showing us the rest of Paisley was very much appreciated x
