    Thank God I am 150/400 into History of Psychiatry and thank you Edward Shorter but no thanks. It's an *encyclopedia*, I'm so glad this series exists for people.

    "Once insane, always insane" why are they so dramatical. I guess that happens if you want to *cure them awl!*

    Psychiatry has always been a pseudo-science. Even Mother Nature is LGBT and not Heterosexual. The concept of exclusive Heterosexuality was always abnormal and unnatural. 💙

      @@GijCommaJEquals0 I fully agree. It amazes me that so few people actually consider the uprightness (or the lack thereof) of this practice.

    I can't help but think that restraints were more rationalized in America vs. Europe because of the chronological proximity to slavery and how American slavery informed all treatment of outside classes of people. I would be interested to know how these restraints were implemented on white patients vs. non white patients, or if non white patients could receive treatment in these facilities at all.

    Psychiatry has to be abolished. Politicians & police have used it to kill millions world-wide, over more than 230 years.

    For over 7 centuries, world-wide, the words 'mental illness', lunatic, insane, mad, and crazy, have been used by perpetrators to create a holocaust on their victims.

  • @TeresavanLieshout
    @TeresavanLieshout ปีที่แล้ว

    There is no such thing as 'mental illness'. It's 100% defamatory, erroneous, subjective, & fraud.

  • @TeresavanLieshout
    @TeresavanLieshout ปีที่แล้ว

    Psychiatrists are murderers. They've created a holocaust over more than 230 years, world-wide, politically legislated & funded. They deserve to be jailed & their practices abolished.

    At the end of the day, this exercise teaches us that, in many cases, looking trippy in public isn’t as bad as we believe. Sure, we might get some looks and giggles, but these don’t hurt, now do they? The Cynic philosopher Diogenes of Sinope used to sleep in a barrel on the streets, walking around in ragged clothes, ‘pleasured’ himself in public, and tripped balls with people who walked past him. He fucked what people thought of him. Therefore, no one was able to hurt him.

    Community care is rationed, waitlisted, and only available to those with enough executive functioning left to make it to appointments. When we have episodes we're on our own.

    The closing of the hospitals under Reagan would have only made sense if the same funding followed people to their local community. Smaller hospitals were still need and they didn’t get much funding either. All the money went to the wealthy via tax cuts. Now we have rampant homeless people with psychiatric people dealing with their illness with drugs and alcohol.

    Don't forget to mention that Jung was actually aware of the historical basis where homosexuality existed and thought that the criminalization of this was tragic. By psycho-analysts you really mean Freud.

    We've come from hospitalization for accusing others of witchcraft for being gay, with lobotomies, to our parents being queer to us with nursing pamphlet guides so we go homeless after they die, for refusing gay Zionists posing as Muslims with an IDF organization. When do we go back to roasting queers at the stake, with the Hebrew language prohibited, so a frame is impossible? I took Crusades history at college, I know your entire pathology and syndrome of accusation towards anti-Semites, the better educated.

    Time and time again I have been offended by dentists, healthcare authorities, private companies. Everything has a common denominator. To create PARANOIA Persecution mania. Different actors just repeat a lot of different behaviours. It could be that when I... Too hard to tell. Although it is torture (pure kindness) and nothing else because I am flawed

    People say "the modern gay rights movement began with Stonewall" - but why is it the dividing line between modern and (uh) pre-modern? I hear this over and over, and I have yet to hear anyone make a case for what that means ("modern"), and why Stonewall is so important to some sort of transition.
