Let's take a look into one of the most expensive risks Capcom has ever made. #capcom #capcomgames #streetfighter6 #gaming #videoessay #armoredcore #armoredcore6 #mech #gamingsimulator #simulator #simulatorgames

what is this song i fucking love it
Sucks that the other games are on console. I wanna play For Answer so bad.
Why they not sell it for PC?
Hey D's Records, i have a request for you
Kind of unrelated, but massive respect for using ridge racer type 4 music
The idea that Marvel thought the punisher beat em up is funny af
I have an idea. If Nintendo launched a new handheld, and if Capcom and Marvel are willing to make a launch title for it, I could see a pair of card-based RPG games being made for it. My idea would be called "Marvel vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash". There would be a Marvel version and a Capcom version, and the catch is that you can't collect all of the cards unless you trade with another player, allowing the Marvel version and Capcom version to be mixed and matched to an extent. Even better, head-to-head card battles can be done with the same or different versions of "Marvel vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash". How would you feel if this ever happened?
Wait... Does this mean I can play Steel Battalion without the controler?
Ive been chasing the Steel Batalion controller since I was in middle school. The closest ive gotten is a HOTAS in Mechwarrior 5. Its really to bad the VR has consumed the "Cool controller" Genre of games. VR will never be the same as having physical controls.
I have this controller
1:14 I chuckled when you said DebuTing lol
KoF was insanely popular in Pakistan too among 90s kids who are all grown up with kids and still play KoF.
Sounds like the Panty And Stocking intro.
I’m curious, is the tune at the beginning of the video when it says D’s Computer Entertainment from a game? I feel like I’ve perhaps heard it in one of the Street Fighter III games. Great work on the video by the way.
@@peanutmansemporiumofrandom7472 thanks so much! It's actually from the Ridge Racer Type 2 OST
@@UselessRecordsthank you very much, I need to find it now lol. Thank you for responding and sorry for the late reply, I’m an over the road truck driver so my schedule is very unpredictable at times and I can get extremely busy. 🤝
"Alright, I have to scratch this Armored Core itch after binging to the ost for weeks. Lets just dip for a while in the first game to see what it felt like before going to the more refined ones." *1 Start Screen and a very rough introduction later* "So this is what all those unwilling teen pilots in anime feel like fighting for their lives.. This wasnt a tutorial, it was a fucking death match! And the mech didnt even come with basic instructions, I had to literally figure it out on the fly while barely making it! I love it!" I too wondered if just hooking up my steering wheel would be more practical to use than the standard non analog setup. Finding out someone made an analog controls mod feels like getting an experimental human+ upgrade. Combat becomes so smooth and natural you might as well be one with your AC.
U NEED to make more videos like this , I loved watching this before I went to sleep
Hey bro love ur content. Can u please do a history with the injustice series?? I am a huge comic fan than anything else.
I've gotten to try it at a furry convention I attend in Chicago. Even when you know what you are doing, it can be hard to operate but it feels so cool!
Great video keep it up!
great and comprehensive video
I'm an iraqi and i never saw anyone who knows kof
KOF is popular in countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE etc. It's also very loved and well known in North African countries like Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria & Libya
Guess what....
MAHVEL IS BACK BABY!
Capcom presents....
What I appreciate most about the Gamecube controller is the subtle way it indicates how it expects developers to utilize the controller. In this age of submenus, pop-ups, and convoluted control schemes, it's nice to think of playing a game using two thumbs and two fingers, each of which is focused on one control. It was easy to offload UI onto the player, especially with the XBox controller's 6 face buttons, but Nintendo chose- and I think history will validate the choice- to make games more accessible and easier to engage with.
That was a really superb video. Clever edits, timely asides, and direction that keeps everything cohesive and moving forward; just excellent work all the way around.
I absolutely LOVE this game! Awesome to hear someone talk about its history!
Steel Battalion heavy armor would be a blast in vr i'm sure
This is so good! Thank you for outlining the history! I’ve always wanted to know and few places given an objective account of what happened and provide sources!
I'm am old school 'Pool. Mentioning Marvel vs Xmen brought me back to the arcade days. When that game came out, I no longer cared about candy money 😂 I just picked up Infinite, and this video is going along great with it. My dude, I'm about to overdose on *PROPER* nostalgia. Ain't a better way to go! Thanks man!!
I love mine so much i getting think i could ever get rid of it. I really enjoyed the game. I played through it more than a few times.
Good stuff amigo. 👌 My favorite part of the story was that one English speaking dude who turned everyone into big Marvel fans lol. Also shout out to The Punisher arcade game, that game still looks sweet
Damn this is a good video, sorry I didn't see it when it came out
Playing Steel Battalion without the Controller is equivalent to playing a jump scare game without the screen. Edit: I own one that I bought a couple years ago, as well as an HDMI mod for my OG xbox, and quite frankly, it's the coolest thing I've ever played with that I quite frankly suck at. lol
Thanks
glad i found your channel now I have another tuber to watch when its 4AM and I cant sleep
That is the best compliment I’ve received since I started Thank you 🫡
great video, cool that you went in depth and included interviews from the devs and other staff that worked on the marvel vs capcom series 👍
Fire video!! I learned a lot I didn't know about the 🐐
just found ur channel through a steel battalion video! glad to see you cover the best fighting game franchise :D
Thanks so much! I hope you enjoy!
@@UselessRecordsdef enjoyed the video! very thoroughly researched and covered a lot of what makes this franchise so special! here's hoping we get a new MVC someday.
does it work with any other games?
Great video and great shirt. I had a chance to try out this massive controller at a game convention a few years ago. I could not even get my mech to start up. Wish I had more time to try again. Seemed like a great concept.
8:20 So, AC 6's protagonist, 621, is also a Nine reference. 6+2+1=9.
I just beat Werehound to learn that he had a entry on this Iceberg.
I still have mine! I lost the game but I kept the controller all these years! It was amazing to learn, once you got used to it, it was honestly pretty easy to know where everything was in the heat of battle. I was honestly toying with the idea of remastering the controller myself with modern connections to turn it into a HOTAS.
is that the ridge racer menu sound effect?
I NEVER knew about the AcNB extra pilot lores, growing up with NB seeing all this extra lore for the ranker acs makes me so excited and nostalgiac
Miyazaki didn’t work at fromsoft yet when gang dark soul needed to taken out, yet souls kids sugg his bepis as the sole reason to play their games at all Spooky
I happen to be one of the lucky ones to own this game and controller. I got the controller from Japan, given it's a lot cheaper to obtain from there than it was to get it from America. I tried it out, and it worked perfectly. And let me tell you, it's a great experience on the original Xbox. I mean, foot pedals, two large joysticks, a gear shift and radio dial, it's something I love in terms of mech sims!
OG VR pilot
After playing in a starcraft broodwar tournament, the controls seems just fine to me.
I think claw grip might be how I play dark souls lol!
