My 100th hour of flying
มุมมอง 51ปีที่แล้ว
This flight for me is a small celebration. in just under 2 years of flying i hit 100 hrs TT on this flight. In that 100 hrs i have achieved my Pax rating, UL instructor rating, checked out on 4 different aircraft, flown (and landed) a total of 6, and have had 1 full on engine failure.

Trip to CRL2
มุมมอง 592 ปีที่แล้ว
CRL2 was hosting their Pigs N’ Pies fly-in, so I decided to rent the Ikarus from @ontarioadvancedultralights882 and go check it out. Ran into a bit of weather that made me second guess my decision to go, but it all worked out.
Just Aircraft SuperSTOL Training.
มุมมอง 1122 ปีที่แล้ว
Getting my tail dragger check out on the SuperSTOL. After only 1.6 hrs of flying I did my first takeoff and landing in the STOL. Definitely not like flying a tricycle gear aircraft, this is a whole different level and skill. So far, so good. More videos coming in the near future.

I decided to take the day off from fullscale and enjoy some RC flights with @hoardoftherings . Needless to say, he won the “Lowest Pass of the Day” award. Listen for the no gear scrape on the pavement.

Ikarus C42 Windy Flight
มุมมอง 3.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I am going for my “Pax” Endorsement this week, so I figured I should get up and get some stick time on the Ikarus. On my first transition training flight in this plane, the winds were reporting much higher than today (Fathers Day), although today proved to be much windier than reported...or so it felt anyway. The gusts were pretty strong at times as you can see in the video
Where did you find the red? All they sell is blue now
Nice
Nice recording, I particularly like the visibility of the dash, alt, AS, etc.
Nice vid, great plane, terrible music.
That's how you gotta do it... just get out and build experience. The more you fly in it, the easier it becomes. :-)
It was much bumpier than it looked in the video, but yes, only one way to overcome it. Lots of turbulence at this airport.
Nothing wrong with that, great job! :-)
Thanks!
That's a nice looking Challenger. Don't worry too much about the thermals and turbulence; you get used to them with experience so just keep flying and soon you'll hardly notice them at all. It took me about 2 years to be completely comfortable in them. The main thing is to keep having fun. :-) I'm looking forward to more videos!
Thanks Matt. This was my first flight with my permit, and after being grounded for 2 months due to a timed out engine. Most of my flying has been on overcast days, so fairly calm. It is quite turbulent at the airport i fly from, but this flight was very turbulent, a bit outside my comfort zone. More videos coming soon.
