We are Gavin and Tracey from New Zealand, travelling in our Land Cruiser camper, Pumbaa. We are sharing our journey for family and friends to follow along our adventures.

A forest fire changes our plans to head north through Yukon, instead we head to Alaska and complete the Alaskan highway.

We travel from Calgary to Banff this week, then drive the Icefields Parkway from Banff National Park to Jasper National Park before starting the Alaskan Highway.

After some frustrating health delays, we are now on the road in the USA. In this video we provide an update on what we have been doing before arriving in the US and starting our journey.

Tku again for another great installment. Getting pretty flash there....complete with drone footage now eh! Nice to see the local bird life, mosquitoes, didn't carry it or you away! 😂 Had a good laugh tku at Tracey City Limit, had this image of you two mimicking Tina & Ike Turner's Nutbush....complete with wigs! 😉

Humans seem almost insignificant compared to the geological forces that created that part of the world! Tku for sharing 😀👍
More different landscape, and I think you had a snap of a chipmunk in one sequence. Gavin Dad would have loved the Chuckwagon museum and the airplane Museum, and he would certainly approve of your choice of music. The band music and the German beer festival music with Sousa playing. Well done, you have Bothdone and seen a lot. The Koi Carp in the Atrium in Calgary looked huge! Travel well , Mum xx

Gosh I laughed at your People of Walmart comment....just proves you were living the American dream then eh! Sorry for being thick, but what were those orange plastic things under the tyres for please...in case of ice?
Thank you again for your kind words. The orange things are stackable levelling blocks to get the camper level. We started by using environmentally locally sourced and made rocks but switched to the designer orange lego blocks when the local supply ran scarce (too much demand I think ;) )
What a big few days you guys have had! Awesome scenery and experiences 😀👍. Very impressed with u seemingly always driving on the correct side of the road too....limits possible drama eh!

Another great contribution for our viewing pleasure tku! As well as knowing u personally so getting a buzz for u, I also have a geology background and an archeological itch....so u are certainly scratching a lot for me tku! 😂 Tracey, when u do your solo walks....please don't do a Dr Michael Moseley! Big hugs all round!
Thanks for your kind words. Tracey is being very careful on her solo walks and we have now invested in bear spray now that we are further north!
