The idiots who installed my jackplate put the bolts in backwards so the nut is facing forward towards the splashwell. I am afraid to take the bolt out so I have to have someone turn the bolts around.

The Recent Boat Accidents Posted On Some Fishing Sites Where The Motor Broke Off and Ended Up In The Driver / Passenger Seats Those Motors Broke Off At The Motor Mounts and Not The Jack Plates , If They Had Leashes Hopefully That Would Have Stop The Motor From Flipping Into The Boat Since The Leash Mounts To The Jack Plate. For The Cost Of What We Pay For Other Add Ons , $300 Doesn’t Seem So Bad , If It Can Prevent A Serious Injury and/or Loss Of Life , I’m Willing To Take That Chance. Take Care All and Be Safe On The Water.
Sorry but for $300 no thanks.
This is NOT going to stop it. I just saw photos of where the failure is at the Atlas Jackplate. Is there a longer cable option so you can mount it to an area that won't break off?

The leash is awesome to bad they aren't cheaper to consumers
It is expensive and so is most everything when it comes to bass fishing. The difference between the leash and say a trolling motor and a depth finder is basically some insurance on your life and very serious injury. Don’t get me wrong bc my depth finders are a life saver when running off the main channel. Depth finders can be 10 times or more expensive. So basically if someone told you that you could spend $300 bucks right now and it would save your life one day and that day maybe 20years down the road. But they also told you that you would have to sacrifice buying one $300 rod and reel combo over the next 20 years, would you pay that money? I’d say if people started buying a few more or if a boat manufacturer put it on as a standard and just calculated that $300 into your payment that would be awesome. Who knows maybe a cheaper version will come out one day. Think about how expense some metal wire and a handle that is easily broken is. The g force trolling motor handle. $70 bucks out the door. When bass fishing really exploded so did the price of everything that had to do with those fat green pigs!!! Tight lines! Insure your life 😉
I dont understand the physics of this. If the motor rips off its mount to come in the boat then wont it rip these bolts out as well? Please explain.

Put that big dog on a leash! Cool idea! At first I thought it was an Engine Off Leash but this is better. Keep that big guy out of the boat foremost. Too bad the title will prevent some boaters from looking at the video as they think they also know what it is about. Hummm, new title or new Pic for the video or both? Cool product anyway!
