Two Different Riding Styles | MT-07 x CBR 600RR

The skill difference between Young Bob and I is vast, but the fun we have is exactly the same. I think a healthy respect for one another and our skill level goes a long way to making the ride more enjoyable. I don't do anything I'm not comfortable with and Bob doesn't judge me for it. Probably because I'm usually 6 miles behind him! Follow me📱 TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@lewontwo Instagram: instagr...

First Ride After Hurricane Milton | Yamaha MT-07
มุมมอง 2282 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hurricane Milton battered Florida and left many people devastated, losing their homes, cars and in some cases their lives. There are no words for their losses and my heart goes out to them. Today, I'm riding out to see what damage was done close to where I live and thankfully it didn't look too bad. Please make no mistake though, this is not to negate the devastation felt by others. Taking My Motorcycle On The Road For The First Time
Motorways are fun.
Love the motorcycle, I’ve been thinking about getting one. Also that drone is is pretty sick!
10/10 would recommend both haha
Lewy on Twoy!
Im so jealous when i see you on your bike in the lovely conditions there, man. It's been absolute SHITE!!! here west of Toronto. You're sounding more confident also on the bike mate. Just always keep an eye out for the KNOBHEADS !!!! 😂😂😂😂 Cheers man Dave-yxu
It was a lot worse when it was first built. Very bouncy. With all the businesses, stop lights and housing development on it there should not be a toll anymore. But with it being privately owned and easy access to the mouse not sure if that will happen anytime soon and they can charge whatever they want.
I completely agree about the toll not being a toll. It’s pretty incredible that it’s as expensive as it is.
You're right. Dodgiest bridge, at least in America.
where are you from sounds like bolton u sound like paddy mcguinness
@@typhwomp7686 Bolton is absolutely right haha
@ haha no way what a guess, glasgow myself
Entertaining asf.
I’ll take it!
loved the video and the underseat exhaust pipes on cbr
It’s absolutely beautiful
Supporting fellow riders is always a good thing. I used to go on group ride outs in the UK and always felt supported. They were led by a retired police motorcycle rider. Still here in the wings, and I hope this new channel develops like your flying one.
Absolutely agree mate!
3:00 My bro raced GSXR750's back in the early 90s. I loved watching him lay it over in the corners hanging off of that machine. Now that I am in my midlife I am looking for 1989-mid 90s GSXR750 OR Yamaha FZR400. I really enjoy seeing you scoot around Orlando on your motorcycle :) Thanks for the content!
Another great video mate🏴
Thanks mate!
That was a fun one 🤘
Thanks man!
I recently got one for my MT-125 channel and I also love it :)
Nice! It’s so cool.
I'm not a beginner, riding for over 35 years, I realy liked the CP2 engine in the Tracer 700, great stuff. Good bike to start on . Where you look on you ride .. look true the corner, you doing perfect! learning before you trash it. Owh don't trash it. Ride safe sir. BTW it go's realy fast if you want it to. Greatings from Belgium.
love it ❤🔥 what's the model of the bike bro?
Yamaha MT-07!
wow, kids of today! damn I feel old hahaha
I can always find you on Google Earth...I just tell the program to find the only Blue MT-07 driven by a guy with a white helmet and white sneakers!
Get to the front of the queues at traffic lights that's the advantage of bikes bro
@@markbennett9043 It’s not legal in FL otherwise I’d absolutely be doing it.
@@Lewontwo laws do not apply when you’re on a bike🤣
So Lew was recommended by TH-cam, you seem like a rather tall fellow and that Yami MT-07 seems a bit small for you… Enjoy the little drone, seems to be pretty good.
Yea man I’ve been feeling recently that I’m a bit tall for it. It’s comfortable though and a good starter for me.
Nice one, mate. Quite the nice little stalker isn't she! 😂 Hope you didn't have too many knobheads during the ride! Be safe man!
If you can hear that drone over the noise of your bike you know what mod you need next 😂
😂 Don’t.. just don’t 😫
@ 😁
The laugh.. 😂😂😂
How can i contact you sir?

I know alot of good riders that dont do this. Im believe it should be done. And it a safer way to down shift in a turn.. its essential to stop super fast.. practice rev matching while using ur front brakes as well. That's an amazing feeling, knowing it can stop u sooo fast.
Dude, I'm a new rider on an MT07 and I'm so damn glad you made this channel. Keep it coming, doing some great stuff, that someone like me with zero experience really appreciates 🙏
I’m glad you found my channel! We’re in the same boat. More to come!
This man aint ready for what texas is cooking up
You got this man! It's fun just fast haha 😊
@@TheDocwilmer81 Thanks man!
@Lewontwo if you're ever in Orlando let me know I'll show you some nice roads.
No post office visit this video?😂
@@Th3Butcher76 haha not this time. Shocking, I know!
My best advice, ride like nobody can see you. Never assume, keep your head on a swivel.
Thank you for that!
Great idea mate! Makes it easier to see those knobheads behind us ! 😂
If you have children, when they're riding in the car with you, please play the "count the motorcycles" game with them. It's just as easy as looking for a VW beetle or a car with a headlight out. But instead, it will train them to be aware of where motorcycle riders are, throughout their lives.
Crushing it out here! Getting the highways locked in so we can ride out to Bikeweek in a few months
hahaaaaa you know it! Just need an exhaust now before rolling in there
You sound like me Lew when i see dumb ass drivers! Just a bunch of knobheads! I am constantly looking at them and shaking my head when passing them, or they pass me. You should have put on the cruise control on the stretch of the highway if the beast has it. 😂 I sure feel the wind on my triumph rocket 3 also, mate. Have you thought about throwing a small windshield on that beast? Keep it going man ! 👊
The more experience I get the more comfortable I am riding past the knobheads shaking my head and wagging my finger hahaha. It's incredible how little they care. I did think about a windshield. It batters you but it's brilliant! Cheers mate!
@Lewontwo yeah,.I was thinking of one also, but I haven't found a good one that looks good, ya know. I'm a member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club (ontario1). We all rode to Niagara Falls, which is about a 5 hr ride there and back with knobheads and Toronto traffic. By the time I got back, my bloody shoulders and arms were killing me from holding on for dear life from the wind! Make sure also mate to watch riding in the center of the lanes. Was always told it's the most slippery section of the lane, especially in the light rainy periods. Mostly due to oil spots from cars and trucks and $%!#. Keep on going, man! You are doing great! Dave Ps: Ground school thursay night. 8 weeks left to go! Be safe, man ! Aka David Brent! 😂 One of my favorite shows!
Love the internal conversation and convincing yourself to go forward and win!! Great Job!!! LMAO " Your Mom's favorite number" !!!
Hahaha Got to give myself a pep talk sometimes!
So do you just twist the throttle and then downshift or are you aiming for a specific RPM (2,000rpm)?
I've been adding throttle before downshifting but in all honesty a lot of the time I was leaving it too long before shifting gears. Now I've been working on doing it quicker.
Hi Lew, I've being riding a few years now (over 40). If you can get into doing life savers when you change direction etc, and if possible get in the outside lane (where less lorries go) at roundabouts (less chance of diesel there), plus look as far ahead as possible so you can take avoiding action if need be, it may literally save you... happy riding
Hello, what do you mean by doing life savers when changing direction?
@6ar5ar it's a quick glance over the shoulder in the direction you're heading to make sure it's clear
@@6ar5ar suck a mint lol .. while looking over your shoulder..
Do you feel that the bike seats caused you to slide forward toward the tank? Are you satisfied with the throttle response? Does the throttle have a choppy on off jerky feel? Thanks
I don't find that the seat causes me to slide towards the tank. I can sit close to the tank or a little back on the seat and be comfortable both ways. Throttle response is fine. It's not the quickest response but that's good because it doesn't get me into trouble. It will become more responsive once I get it tuned. I plan of getting an exhaust and the tune should refine some things. The throttle isn't jerky but the bike has enough power to be fun. I love it.
WELCOME TO THE ohhhh wheels…😂 As a old and more experienced biker, I would NOT be in the side of the lanes. 1. Cars might think you are a moped/slower vehicle pull out in front of you. 2. Especially older people might squeeze into your lane because…. they are old..! 3. Riding in the middle of the lane gives you room both ways to evade obstacles. Love to watch this new channel 😊😊😊😊
Out of interest how long you've been living in the US? Did you move for work?
Been here since 2005. I came as a kid so wasn’t for work but glad we made the switch.
@@Lewontwo Ah nice one, surprised you kept your accent in tact!
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned to you about position in the lane when riding. You want to be in the left drivers side wheel track closer to the yellow lines. It prevents cars from passing you partially in your lane. Keep up the great riding, mate. Be safe ! WELCOME TO 2 WHEELS ! 😂
I very much appreciate the advice mate! Thank you!
@Lewontwo no worries Lew! Ps: Sent you a message on your website. Dave from London 😊
@13:35- you went precisely where you were looking. If you'd looked to the center of the lane, say toward the sewer cover you ran over a few seconds later, it would have worked better. Then, of course, you went over that sewer cover probably because you were looking at it. Keep on it, you're getting noticeably better.
Thanks man! All the advice is helping. Each ride feels easier and easier.
Always remember that 60% of brake power is with the front brake and 40% on the rear brake. Your doing great mate. I do the same with my Triumph Rocket 3r.
Brilliant. Thanks man!
My instructor told me that's nonsense because of road conditions being different all the time, he said just remember that front break is more, rear break is least and both is most.
Supersports are closer to 70% front/ 30% rear. But most effective is both brakes while rev matching. There's nothing stopping u greater. This also minimizes tire lockups.
before I started riding - I didn't think I could ever get the hang of rev matching -it looked so difficult. Now that I have been riding, it is much easier than it originally looked in these videos
I'm still getting the hang of it. It's not perfect yet but it's definitely getting better.
Orlando has to be the absolute worst place to ride a bike!
You found a corner that you like... There's a sign at the I-5 end of CA-36, [squiggle symbol] next 144 miles. Florida may be great for flying, but it's not on my list of fun places for riding motorcycles.
Yea I’ve found that it’s not the best place to ride. Stop start traffic. If I ride for about 30-40 minutes out to the northeast it’s quite fun though.
It's a very good skill to have especially if you need to downshift mid-corner. It keeps the rear from skidding and stepping out. Once you get it down the next level is learning to do it while using the front brake. It takes a lot of practice but it's quite satisfying when you start getting your downshifts just right. Not quite as good as a buttery landing, though. 😄
@@TurboNeon185 There have been a couple of times where I pulled it off perfectly and it felt really good in the turn. The rest of the time it’s hit or miss at the moment haha.
