Khum Min the elephant is welcomed into the free herd by a very forward female!
มุมมอง 635K14 ปีที่แล้ว
Filmed in July, 2010 in Northern Thailand. I was part of a group who walked an elephant called Khum Min from a life of work (trekking) to a life of freedom (with a mahout/minder). This video starts where the previous footage stops (his chains have just been removed). How long will it take for him to integrate with his new herd?! Khum Min will now live as part of this herd in the jungle (close t...

I was part of a group who walked an elephant called Khum Min from a life of work (trekking) to a life of freedom (with a mahout/minder), where he will live as part of a herd in the jungle around a remote Karen hilltribe village. The hope is that by providing these eles with a safe, happy herd environment, breeding will take place. Asian Elephants are a...

Why was he chained in the first place ???

This is wonderful to see! ❤ Thank you all who made this possible.
I love watching this video. Seeing those chains come off and how he was finally able to step free. Best thing ever.
Whoever this woman is petting the elephant, stop petting him in the same spot too many times. It's irritating for anyone including the elephant. Would you like a massage in one spot only? Some people just don't think. Other than that, thank you for rescuing this elephant. If I were a millionaire I would donate hundreds of thousands to all elephant sanctuaries.
Wonderful seeing this beautiful animal set free.💖🙏🙏🙏
I love that they are all free. Why do they still need the rope with the bell?
So precious ❤
Take off those bells around their necks
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL to see them all enjoying their freedom after years of abuse and misery!!! Thank you to all that save them and give them the peace..love..respect and freedom they deserve!!!❤❤❤
What about the chain around his neck?
merveilleux animaux
With all the human suffering and desperate human need out there, this seems to be such an enormous waste of valuable resources. When we can get our homeless vets with PTSD taken care of, then we can worry about these elephants " supposed" PTSD. Pfffff. SMH

Why a graceful animal was chained is unacceptable. Why was there a padlock still around its next when he walked off?
🥲
Poor adorable creature!! Bravoo!!🙏❤👏👏
Beautiful sight😂
Be free ❤🐘🐾🌳🤗!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The rain at the time the chains came off is a good sign, blessing or good omen. Enjoy a happy retirement.
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
All of this through a high level of not being aware of how animals are important to our own survival.
Whoever did this should also be chained up
FREEDOM
Protect animals al the time ❤
all you humans who abuse our animals, I pray you live eternity in chains.

I live on a farm, and was told to lock my dog up or put him on a chain by my neighbour. I refused. He is a little Jack Russell who never ever attack humans. Shame on those who do.
Back that Train up Girl...
Annoying bamboo bell ! It must be making them all crazy
They forgot the string around his neck😢
why do they treat this person so bad
So happy to see tthis Elephant freed of his chains why do people do this to these beautful animals so cruel hope he will have a peaceful life and feel safe thankyou to all who gave him his freedom❤❤❤😮😮
You THINK he will have someone with him at all times because of cornfields, etc. We like definite FACTS, not “THINKS”
