The Real Voice of Japanese Students 2: GO STUDY ABROAD!
The number of Japanese university students studying abroad has gone down in recent years due to several factors. These 17 students ask for changes that will allow more students to go abroad.

The real voice of japanese students
มุมมอง 1.4M14 ปีที่แล้ว
The real voice of Japanese university students about their English learning in JHS and HS. Filmed in December 2009, about 30 students analyzed their language learning histories and then wrote recommendations for students, teachers, and the ministry of education (MEXT).

As an international student studying Japanese in Japan, most of this was painfully true for me as well. We were constantly given grammar points with little to no time to practice speaking naturally or holding a conversation. Often both in and outside of class due to the insane amount of homework that solely focused on, you guessed it, grammar

To all Asian people: We westerners are much more pragmatic and won't judge you if you make grammar mistakes. Our cultures embrace trial and failure as a legitimate way to success. Don't be afraid to just try. Make as many mistakes as you need to improve. Language must be learnt together!

Since you do not output what you were taught at schools, you cannot speak English! You're only lazy learners! lol Without the knowledge of the language, you cannot even write an essay to show your ideas. lol

There is only one that can be done for you to learn English. Stop teaching the 3000 Kanji from childhood and focus on English. Boom ! Problem solved. That how I learned English. My school neglected Hindi and focus on English and now I'm good in English but fucking bad in Hindi.😂

I suspect the teachers of English grammar focus on it heavily because one teacher of grammar is cheaper than having multiple native speakers work one on one with multiple students. It is also easier for a non-native speaker to memorize grammatic rules and teach a class there than fluently speak the language with students. They should do conversation practice with people online and Japanese schools should make that part of formal education. Hiring native speakers online should keep the costs down because there's a much bigger supply of native English speakers in the world than those willing to be physically present at a Japanese school. Keeping the costs down should allow the Japanese schools to hire more English conversationalists and help students get more practice.

in this video, most of them speak at a normal pitch, but i dont get why so many japanese woman usually speak in such a high pitched voice and childish behavior. i still find it unpleasant and strange. is it because of tradition or a newer thing? for me it seems like they do it because they want to appear in a certain way. it seems more like acting then just beeing yourself. but i'm not here to judge. just find it strange. i like japanese culture so much, but this voice pitching is something that still confuses me to this day.
