I share Gerard's love for the zombie movie. My favorite growing up was Return of the living Dead. Then in '04 I think it was we got the remake of Dawn of the Dead which was fantastic. I know it's technically a "plague" film but I am very much looking forward to C.Murphy's return in 28 Years later which he has signed on for!!! I talked with Mikey about the remake of DOtD when I met him shortly before their show at the Masquerade when I worked there in '05. I gave up my bar that night to work the MCR rider backstage. My first MCR show & they didn't disappoint. This was the Revenge era MCR (my favorite) & I loved every moment. Long live My Chemical Romance ♥️

I normally don't comment on videos but man this was such a beautifully explained essay. I'm binge watching MCR deep dives to get inspo for my Power Point presentation night with my friends and even though I've followed MCR's lore closely for forever now, there always seems to be new things I never knew or heard of and your video had lots of them. The first and best album from MCR. Nothing can match the raw energy and emotion except maybe their second album but by the time Black Parade came out it was overproduced and lost a lot.

I loved your video on bullets so much! Even tho I'm a huge fan of MCR, I (obviously) don't know everything and getting to hear the meanings and inspirations behind the music is so cool! Love the video! I never knew some of the stories behind these songs. My current banger has to be Headfirst for Halos, simply bc of how much of a banger it is and its overall purpose. Love this album, with all of its quirky tempos and all.

Linkin park was this band for me. I loved everything they made. Only really discovered MCR within the last couple years. I fell in love with the black parade album, mama is one of my favorites. Then got into 3 cheers and I think not okay and the ghost of you are the perfect songs to go back to back. I see not okay as a duet between the two demolition lovers. The woman has mourned and moved on, the man on the other hand’s only reason for living is the woman… the duet gets heated and he kills her as they’re both screaming “I’m not okay” then the ghost of you comes in with him realizing what he’s done, and tries to commit welll… let’s say he’s not taking Gerard’s advice about “headfirst for halos”

I love this video, learned a lot from it! I was 2 in 2004 so only started listening to mcr in 2014 (in October just like u) but Bullets became my fave only after 7 years of listening, it's really beautiful and I just had to go through having a full time job and less teenage angst to get it
