I used to be very active 30 years ago on 2m SSB out of North Hollywood. Now getting back on the air, and I haven't heard any 2m SSB yet. It used to be a lot busier. Hopefully someone will be on during the next contest.

I want to say thank you for this video. I'm new to amateur radio and I was just wondering if the way you announced yourself on that repeater in New York was appropriate. I was taught when I key up on a repeater to say my callsign & monitoring, listening, or the callsign of another station and then my callsign. Thank you for sharing and teaching us how not to get on a repeater.
