@@marcodimeglio6667 very easy to drill into the slides. Inside those blue plastic protectors, there are U channels, meaning you can drill through with no obstructions. The steel is only a few millimetres.

Thanks for your feedback Rob. 360w is the maximum input wattage and high quality panels are the only way to achieve the maximum input, or poor quality panels but a few more in parallel. I use cheap blankets and they will never deliver, so hopefully will replace them to keep the battery closer to 100%. I pretty much run the same equipment. It is an awesome battery, and so lightweight.

Hi Brent. I just read the owners manual specifications for your model and it states 5 amp max input and not 5 watts Max. It also stated the solar input voltage is 18v to 20v max. So, 20v x 5 amp equals 60 watts max. Hence why a 120 watt solar panel would suffice. Mine is 300 watts max.

@@rjsplace3971 hey thanks for looking into that for me. I have a 100 watt solar blanket. The way I read it was the mppt controller would only accept 5 amps max therefore making for a slower charge rate. Is this correct?

@@bellajess100 Comparing yours and mine for charging. Yours 20v x 5a = 60w. 40ah ÷ 5a = 8 hours. Mine 30v x 12a = 360w. 70ah ÷ 12a = 5.8 hours. Yes, yours is slow charging given the limitation of the supply voltage allowed.

I think the consideration is what you will be drawing while charging. If you are charging at 5a and consuming 5a (ie. Fridge), you are breaking even. I would have 7a excess above my consumption.

My other thought is that neither of our solar panels will deliver the full wattage, so my calculations are based on absolute best conditions. Neither of us will get best conditions.

Hi. Not really, other than that the 8 solder joins are are good connections as well as no shorts. The four metal retainer clips are making good contact. That the channel control is somehow still depressed.

@@rjsplace3971 I emailed mbradio and just received a response from them. they say...." its in demo mode. When you select the ‘COLOR’ settings to adjust the colour, just press the [Menu F] key while ‘COLOR’ is displayed on the screen and it will disable/enable demo mode".
