As a Turk let me give you this insight, it is NOT A CRESCENT MOON. It is a solar eclipse. Yes there is a moon in front of the sun but the crescent part is the SUN. The crescent is C shaped, moon never does that, you can observe yourself, the light part of the moon can not get past the middle line, physically impossible Also the star isnt a star, it is supposed to be the morningstar, which is actually Venus, a planet. The whole Turkish flag paints a constellation. It is a Tengrist shamanic thing more than any other belief or mythology.
