You still like playing on that Rigel? My F style mando just cracked (😢) and I'm in the market again. Found a Rigel just like this one, but I'm not sure I want to pull the trigger on it.
Hey man. Sorry to hear about your F-style. Maybe it is worth getting the crack fixed? EIther way, I moved on from the Rigel a few years ago, but it was great. I love them and Breedlove OFs for the value. Go for it!

Top notch. I was just thinking it would be nice to hear a very straight-forward version to see how the tune has evolved with different interpretations. I grew up on High Country's version with Ed Neff fiddling like a banshee back in the early 70s on their Dreams LP which is still avail on discogs, but I like your version too!

Beautiful mando! My 305 is a week old and I can't put it down.....not one complaint on my end.....I may trade one of my guitars next summer and get an 805.....its a real beauty....got mine from The Mandolin Store as well....very nice experience dealing with them... . .can't wait to do it again!
Yeah, man! Such a great value. I had a 305 before too and loved it. It’s really the only choice in its price range. Honestly, I like it better than the Collings MT2 I used to have.

@@gibby6904 You know, when Eastman nails it they really nail it. I've played some that were good, a few that were outstanding, and really no clunkers. Throw in the price and it's tough to justify buying something more expensive unless it's really special.

@@KevinBriggsMindfulMandolinist I had a MT2V but never bonded with it, just too strident at times. What I have now is a 2017 MT gloss torrified top. It's woody, sweet, and just the best little thing. My other is a weber Yellowstone with fern appointments that Dennis ordered. It's an all around amazing mando, very low easy action and the neck profile fits me perfect
I purchased an MT-2 from Dennis looking forward to its arrival. Lp
Nice, man! I think you're going to love it. When I got mine, the setup was good, but the action was very low. I raised it a bit and it really came into its own. Lots of playing and a few string changes and within a month it was a loud, crisp machine. Then, I switched to J75s and it was all upside, with very little impact on the action. I'd love to hear how you like it. :-)
Kevin Briggs I’ve had some really great mandolins over the years including a custom Mowry A. This Collings is something else, neck, playability etc. I couldn’t be happier. Blonde Birdseye with tortoise binding. Lp

Almost no one I personally know in America is against legal immigration and immigrants who come in through that system - - but most do realize that the uncontrolled and Illegal flooding of millions of unskilled individuals across our boarders will bring down the country. There are no jobs for these people and they flood our already over taxed welfare systems and schools. Yes, such foolish policies ARE a threat to everyone. No other country in the world is so stupid.
Thanks for sharing, Mandolin1944. I appreciate your comment. :-) The song gets quite specific, but aside from that, I think we all fear something or other. The messages change, but the fear remains, right? I think aside from the obvious meaning of some of the lyrics, it touches on a more universal idea of being “controlled,” whether by the left, right, or whatever.
