    This video was amazing! ❤ You explained what card packages are and why they’re important so clearly and concisely-it was super helpful for me as someone still learning the ins and outs of deck building. I love how passionate you are about MTG, and it really shines through in your videos. I’m definitely using this as a reference for my own deck building in the future. Thank you for breaking things down in such an approachable way-you make learning so much fun! Can’t wait to see more from you! P.S. loved the package joke about men staying up at night haha.

    Wow, this really hit home. It’s such a hard pill to swallow-coming to terms with the fact that so many of our choices might not actually be our own but are shaped by prior programming and influence. I’ve definitely struggled with that realization, and it’s uncomfortable to sit with at first. But honestly, doing the work to shift from living on autopilot to making intentional, authentic choices for yourself is so worth it. This video was such a powerful reminder to keep questioning, keep reflecting, and keep growing. Thank you for putting this out into the world-it’s a message so many of us need to hear.

    Yay! Ender's back! Oh my gosh, it's been so long since you uploaded. Another great video, this was very informative. I have a question for you, what is the difference between a toolbox player and a value player? It seems that they both enjoy having cards that are useful, right? Looking forward to more videos from you!

    • @end-er_1023
      @end-er_1023 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there. Of course I can. A Value players has something they value more than anything be it drawing cards, getting land, or something that gives them a rush. A Toolbox player is looking for specific cards to answer something. They both may like options but the reasons behind them are different.

    We attract to us entities which vibrate like us. Most of the humans vibrate very low, and therefore are unable to connect to the other parts of themselves in the higher dimensions, i.e. the beings of nature (5d-6d), the angels (7d-12d), the archangels (13d-18d) and the arcs, no more geometry, only vibration 19d-24d)- they can only connect to the bi-dimensionnal entities living in the astral (1d/2d).

    Currently working on a project to have 1 deck of each color identity. This means having to learn to build and play all kinds of styles. (This wasnt as bad as i expected since ive been playing for 22 years ive seen most archetypes in that time but now I'm a solely commander player with a consistent pod so i have to tranlate that game knowledge propwrly for the format) Primarily a Grixis enjoyer but have come to enjoy aggro styles and Esper Graveyard with Sefris. Built her for a budget challenge with my friends not knowing she was a precon from the previous year so i built her from scratch and shes disgustingly good. (Started at a 60 budget and then lifted it and went ham for the final version) Good sht in that vein on this vid.

  • @JordanSvante
    @JordanSvante ปีที่แล้ว

    I personally would love to see you release a video covering the different types of win conditions (common and uncommon) as well as what colors tend to work best with those win conditions. In that video would you also share some card recommendations for those colors and win conditions that you recommend. I think that would be very helpful on my magic journey. After hearing the different archetypes - I think I want to become a tool box player. The idea of having a card for every situation seems very appealing. My only fear with a tool box approach is efficiency, or should I say the lack there of. I got mana screwed once and it put the fear of God and Anime in me haha. Having a card for every situation sounds like a good idea until you're on the battlefield and you either need a card you can't find, or you're steady pulling cards you don't need. Do you have any advice for someone who want's to be a toolbox player? How should I build the deck? What ratio should I use to keep from getting mana screwed? Lastly, is it possible to have a win condition (outside of creature damage) with a toolbox deck? Another great video! Looking forward to your next one!

    I play more removal than average but stacking up in removal and counters is boring af.(no hate) Every one of your opinions boils down to "make games longer and boring" id honestly rather rock up to a table and lose in 6 turns to an uninteracted with value engine and start again than play a 2 hour game where everyons commanders are phased out and no one can untap and all those Shenanigans. Just a different way of approaching the game. I know a dude who runs MLD and doesnt end he just does it to slow you down. He doesnt even always have rocks or anything

    22:12 fast mana is an extremely strong option I dont run any free fast mana in any of my casual decks. The closest I get is ancient Tomb in some of my decks. Lines aren't that tight in most of my games.

  • @FlawlessP401
    @FlawlessP401 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a lot to say about worrying about people "beating you" winning isnt really the goal on my side of the table. I like to win but its a second order effect of what I'm really there for which is to become dangerous enough the whole table says "we gotta deal with this" As far as playing hard stax id say dont do that in 99% of games. We can do warcrimes to each other but we should agree to it first. Light stax is chill without discussion, tax me to make me deny you resources all day. But the moment you start turning off untap steps you gotta safe word me first. Lots of people groan at my Anhelo extra turn deck but I'm not gonna stop playing it ulexcept against people who specifically ask me not to. Now if you built a STAX deck at me and wanna win by lockdown idk why i wouldnt make you play it out since you are the one who wants to win by resource denial you should probably be forced to waste your time doing so. So if i take 8 extra turns are you gonna make me play it out? Idk it seems like you have a bias in favor of stax type win cons and dont like when others complain about it. As though i have no right to be annoyed by your strategy when your strat expressly involves preventing others from playing is not the move.

    • @end-er_1023
      @end-er_1023 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok. I thought I did a good enough job explaining my bias to it but I in no way am saying don’t make me play it out just don’t be upset when I ask the same. I don’t sit down to play unless I have hours. It’s not a waste if you’re enjoying the game.

      @@end-er_1023yeah I think I agreed more when I was younger now that I'm old and have way more responsibilities if a game goes over an hour 15 it's a long game.

  • @FlawlessP401
    @FlawlessP401 ปีที่แล้ว

    I dont believe in playing mtg with people you dont know at all if you can help it but... For the power level discussion its not that complicated with randoms. You gotta use the chart. Ask specific questions. What turn are you trying to win by if left alone. How many tutors/how consistent is your deck at doing its thing. That discussion can be useful but you cant be a wuss about and should openly call someone out for lying or misrepresenting their stuff. I only play with people in friends with already so my default is never play with randoms but i did feel like i have had a handful of good rule zeros but you have to be a man about it assertive and masculine direct communication with consequences is the only way to interact with people you dont know.

    • @end-er_1023
      @end-er_1023 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see where you’re coming from and I agree though some players have a hard time speaking so they try to avoid confrontation. You seem assertive and that probably has helped you a lot.

    Interesting start. This adds a dose of realism. The bit about deceptive, dysfunctional players is spot-on. That said, it's not just pride that keeps someone in the game. My son has taught me not to quit unless the lock is obvious. It's poor sportsmanship. And I like games that last at least 12-15 turns.

    I have a mono-white deck with Lae-zel Vlaakith's champion and noble heritage as her background. Without acceleration she enters as a 6/6 on turn 3, attacks as a 9/9 on turn 4 and then as a 12/12 on turn 5. Add those 2 hits up for a clean 21. The rest of the deck is mostly protection spells which as you said either keep her on the board OR push her attacks through. I'm going to look into adding absolute grace to that deck. Nice recommendation for a card I probably would've never known about
