The media hipe making it sound like doomsday, while really nothing happened, will result in many not paying much attention the next time. Granted, where we are auroras are a common accurance for us. A bit of short term phone, internet and radio outages, before the weekend. But nothing on the weekend, not even reports of short power outages. Obviously that is a good thing. But it might desensitize the public to warnings in the future.
