Bulk Induction System
Fluence Automation designed and installed multiple Bulk Induction & Buffering Systems to create a constant even flow of products, including Bulk Dumping, Buffering, Print & Apply labeling, and High-Speed Diverting. This combination is designed to breakdown the parcel sequence with a series of 90 degree turns reducing parcel clumping. The dumper goes through a series of pauses to let the product gradually unload and has a sensor to dump the product on demand.

I remember working and repairing the SPBS (small parcel bundle sorter) The bins were large nylon bags for packages. Flats (large envelopes) were sorted on several types of flat sorters. At one time we had 3 different machines. Maintenance was kept busy fixing and clearing jams. After 32 years I was happy to retire as a MPE-9. Mail Processing Mechanic level 9.
